Long Hill Auto Service

Unbelievable that a repair shop like this still exists!!!! I have lived in the area for years but had always gone to the dealer to get work done. I decided it was time to try something new. I decided to call up Long Hill Auto to see if they could give me an estimate on a timing belt. Bob explained to me that he could price out the timing belt for me but it would be better if I could come down to the shop as my car could have needed more than just the belt. It turned out my accessory belt was cracked and a pulley was making noise. Bob then gave me a quote on what actually needed to be done rather than just what the dealer said to do. He explained that other shops or dealers just throw a low number out and get you into the shop. Then later they call you back and tell you need (belts, hoses, pulleys, etc.) Ron Denso claims that shops take cars apart and then force you to fix them, as they do, but that's not the case here. They are so thorough and meticulous, they just don’t want to mislead you with a false number! I proceeded to have the work done and the car seems to have run better ever since. I would recommend this shop over any in the area. more

Highly recommend long hill auto service!! I had two tires that needed to be replaced right away- Bob the owner, was able to get the tires instantly and was able to change my tires the same day! Not to mention they were a special kind of tires and compared to several other places the price was right! Wouldn't go anywhere else! more

Great Shop! I called for an estimate on brakes and instead of just low balling me on the phone,they told me to come down so they can check it out before they gave me an estimate.That is the proper way to go about giving an estimate.They have been at that location since 1986 and are very trust worthy as that is the reason they want to see the car,not to hold you hostage after they pull it apart, as Ron D implies. They are a bunch of great ,helpful guys. more

I suggest you use caution in dealing with this shop. I called in to get a estimate for a straight forward repair that Dealerships have not a problem quoted. They insisted that before they can give estimate of repair they would to take my car apart. As a professional I have had this type of job done before and know the details required to do the job. Allowing a mechanic dissemble your car with an up front estimate puts you at the mercy of the shop and you will not be able to drive it out without the repair. This is the way some unethical mechanic shops operate. I refuse to do business with this shop because of not giving me an upfront estimate before they take my car a part and will never give my business to Long Hill Auto Service Millington, NJ 07946. more

I was using my laptop in my car because I had no power in my house from the storm/Sandy. I called to just leave a message and Bob The owner answered. He not only put a battery in for me ,he alowed me to use his shops internet and charge both my cell phone and lap top. more

It is 10/30/2012 a day after Huricane Sandy. I blew a power steering line. Not One place is open from my house 30 miles away from Millington. Running on a back up generator,Bob and a small crew were there for emergencies to repair my hose! more

We have used Long Hill Auto several times and have been very pleased with their work. The always call with and estimate and have always made the repair in a single day. more

Long Hill Auto is amazing at auto repair. I had a great experience with them. I had a little trouble with my steering wheel alignment and they fixed it within the hour. more
