My favorite flea market! 800 dealers, not too many to be exhausting but more than enough to find treasures. No new merchandise here which is great. You don't have to traipse through the sox, t-shirts and craft items to get to the good stuff.
I have decorated most of my apartment with furniture I found from the '40s thru the 70's. Not only furniture but lamps and all sorts of kitchen items. Some have been kind of funky and unusual and a few pieces quite elegant.
I bought a metal wall sculpture years ago for $10 that I love. I found out recently it's by an artist whose work is highly collectible and this piece is now selling for $350.
At one show, I was digging around a box of paintings and came across a print that was beautifully framed. I paid $8 for it. I researched the artist and couldn't believe it was worth $250 plus the value of the frame.
I've collected vintage hats, scarves, fabric and pillows for years and I always get great buys here. Negotiating prices is expected and welcome.
If you're like me, you love to see everything up close and in real life, not just a photo on Ebay. If you like the thrill of the hunt, this show is for you.
