High Pressure sales with no integrity or morals! We went to the dealership looking for a particular car that was advertised by an employee of Lone Star Motor Co. The mileage was misrepresented in the ad and Pat, the owner of the vehicle, couldn't seem to provide the correct mileage over the phone. We got there and he started off with the high-pressure sales pitch as soon as we found an issue with the car-- told us he was going to take it to the auction right away and get what he wanted for the car if we weren't willing to buy it. Then another guy came out and put the pressure on, followed by a third salesman!!! It took three of them to put the pressure on. We decided to purchase the car in spite of the issue because it didn't appear to be anything major and actually has nothing to do with the real problem with the car that we were unaware of. We paid cash, which was a big deal for us, and drove away with the car. About 40 miles down the road, it started smoking under the hood (something you wouldn't notice during a 15-minute test drive). It turned out to be the power steering pressure hose-- a $700 repair. So, one day after our purchase of the car, we're putting $700 into it, which is very depressing. We called Pat and, of course, he's not willing to do anything to help compensate us for the repair bill. We know the hose didn't just happen to start leaking less than an hour after we left the dealership! All three of these guys knew the car had a major problem and they represented the car as being in perfect condition. We got scammed and that hurts. We ran the Auto Check report on the car in advance and thought we had done our homework. It takes the wind right out of your sails-- all the excitement over getting a new car is replaced by the gut feeling that you've been HAD by a bunch of scumbags.
