In the beginning this repair shop seemed loyal and honest. I referred my friend to them because of how the seemed so knowledgeable and professional. That was a huge mistake! They did a diagnostic test on his 1 ton, called my friend to tellhim the verdict. They over charged him well over a $1000.00 and couldn't explain where they came up with that total. On top of that when he decided to take his truck else where, they backed it into another vehicle and dented his back bumper. I know things happen but come on. You know you did it but you couldn't pick up the phone and call him about it. Be careful when using this repair shop. more

Service was perfect. Waited for the vehicle while they performed the work. Work was complete prior to the time promised; and the work was free, because I had enough Lone Star points from previous service to pay for it. more

BEST part of this place is that my daughter can rest and there web site helps us both on keeping on task and my truck gets the best care and I can say its in great shape and I am made aware of up coming work that needs to be done. ITS rare in today world auto repair to have a site that reminds you of service you truck soon will need, that huge. more

best of west texas 3/25/2011

Lone Star Automotive is number one and the best in west Texas.\r I bought my truck i was scared to let my kids and grand kids drive it" in just a few visits my truck was at its best and now i love going places because they keep close eye on it.\r I can say they are number 1 in our service needs and as a low income family my truck gets great service every time and done right.\r they also have a web site that keeps you informed and you can see every service that's been done and what to plan for and that a great help.\r ALWAYS open to answer questions with out making you feel lost and not smart that i love.\r roger and his team is always fair and honest and go the extra mile and i know this first hand.\r they are a step a head of every one and always looking to stay above the rest.\r my kids grand kids are price less to me and i would not want them to break down or drive un safe truck and i can say 100% they are safe in my truck.\r thank you long star team more

Very professional, helpful, friendly staff. They have gone the "extra mile" to make sure everything that needed done to our car was done. The facility is sparkling clean and inviting. We have used Lone Star/Cecil's for years and they have never disappointed. When our car wouldn't start, we thought it was the starter, because of the way it acted. But it turned out to be the battery and also while looking over the car, it was found that the main belt needed to be replaced, which I am certain it did, because of the age of the car. Anyway, everything was taken care of in a timely manner and the charges were reasonable. We are glad they are in Midland. more

Slick 11/1/2010

Last year I had my car serviced at Lone Star Automotive. I was concerned about the battery. (lots of corrosion) Anyway, I ended up have to spend almost $2000 for wires, hoses, points, etc.. that's what it needed I was told. The battery I was concerned about was not replaced. Guess what? Now my alternator is bad. So they have told me that it will be $600-800 to replace both the alternator and battery I WANTED REPLACED LAST YEAR! I am NOT happy or impressed by this slick business at all! more
