tractor trailer broke down on I-95 in New London ct. 47 miles from new haven. truck was towed to new haven and stored over night. when the service man showed up the next day to change the alternator Lombard charged an additional 250.00 to move the truck from there secure yard to the street , approximately 400 feet. the tow bill was a whopping $1,108.00. Just another high way robbery job. would never use them , the woman in the office was rude. it also took them better than 4 hrs to respond. seems they are some how connected to the CT state troopers (who called them) someone is getting a kick back. to tow a truck 47 miles for $1,108.00 is robbery. they (tow companies) should be regulated by the federal government. I would not recommend these people, the owner is Anthony Monaco and would not even come to the phone. NICE WAY TO DO BUSINESS !!!! more

Car was in Lombard's possession for a few hours (towed per police)--However--They thought a 2004 Cadillac SRX (4w drive) was a Cadillac ESCALADE (2w drive) later found to be a conversation between a cop and the tow truck driver...??what were they thinking?? end result-- their method of towing ripped apart a tie rod and now they must fix it....and refund the tow charge, en lieu of paying $77 for a broken Cadillac! Easier to stay out of New Haven and support another area that's not so brash with public works/enforcement. The poor SRX is all dinged up too, most likely from their primitive business model of keeping ""guard dogs"" in their impoundment lot....Someone else will sue for intimidation on a business deal, I just want this ordeal over---the SRX was perfect and now its not....AKA HEADACHE. more

Living in New haven i have been a victim of the bootfinder/platehunter a number of times, I am thankful it is Lombards taking my car and not some of these other places. Many many times ive asked, while my car was being loaded, where can i call and pick it up and they have been very nice, handed me a card and assured me my car would be safe. I use lomabrds now for AAA, breakdowns and flats. They are very nice, the trucks are very clean, new and sparkley!! more

Lombard Motors is the most unprofessional towing company in connecticut. Their Towing Manager is extremly rude and obnoxious. Their trucks are filthyand youcan tell their drivers dont take care of the equipment. Their drivers have absolutly no knowlege of the equipment they are using or what they are doing. If i was the owner of this company i would think about getting rd of the towing manager and hiring someone that can trin th drivers he right way!!!!!!! more

I didn't find Lombard to be a professional business. They were none informing and rude.They had no knowledge of there eqipment but were on time. Pros: on time Cons: no knowledge on equip, all over the road more
