This restaurant, and I use the word very loosely, is the epitome of zero hospitality, professionalism and customer service in the restaurant industry! I was dissatisfied with 2 entrees and was willing to pay for everything eaten except improperly made gravy and acidic pancakes which left an aftertaste. The manager was defensive from my 1st word and insisted I ate some of the food so I was required to pay for it. I explained and her retort was that 1500 people were there and no one complained. Really??? The end result was the police were called and cited TN law is if you taste the food you are required to pay for it. \r

End result: I paid. Long term result: Owner did not speak to me to resolve the issue prior to police arriving and openly told me he did not want my business. My intent: To warn those who are swayed by reviews on Trip Advisor and other travel sites to STRONGLY RECONSIDER Log Cabin Pancake House as a place to spend your money. The owner and manager preferred the $31.48 vs a satisfied customer and a positive outcome. We were fine to pay a discounted rate of the meal; instead it was perceived differently. No restaurant worth their investment would treat a customer by calling the police to solve a common complaint. If 1500 people in 1 day are satisfied with no complaint, is it not common sense they would strive for 1501 satisfied customers???\r

Nine million people visit Gatlinburg, TN and to take this measure against a complaint is incomprehensible. My bill was $31.48 for a family of 3. The cost to his reputation is priceless. In my years of traveling I've NEVER had such an awful, poorly executed response to rejection of inadequately prepared food. If my review helps 1 person redirect their business to a friendlier, customer based restaurant (Flapjacks Pancake House) then I am effective. Thank you for reading. \r

Note to management and owner: Eventually the powdered gravy, fruit out of a can and other poor quality and disgusting food will catch up to you and cost you profit, slowly but surely. True hospitable, customer focused, and professional restaurants deserve to prosper and your cutting corner methods will prevail to your customers. Your food is below subpar and is not worth the plate it is served on.
