I have been going to The Four Lakes Lodge since I was a little kid skiing and playing volleyball with my family. When I turned 21 my friends are I became regulars and have always been treated nicely. Maybe YOU Christina were rude and mean to the staff. I was actually at The Lodge that Thursday with a group of my friends. One happens to me a black girl that recently moved here from Georgia and there was no issue with her. I actually know some of the staff and found out why that show was stopped. The promoter ho booked the show tried to have it start at 630PM when there are still families in there eating and talking. Do you really think ANY family would want to hear rap, rock, metal, dance music at 630PM on a summer evening? NO! Before you go barking your mouth off crying wolf, you better get your facts straight because your facts are completely untrue and tangled in a web of lies you have created. I was there and saw the, ""artists,"" walking around like the owned the bar. They had never been there, were rude to my table and loud and obnoxious. I even complained to a female manager who was nice and even told me that,"" we are an open establishment and invite all walks of life to come in."" I wasn't even referring to that, I was referring to that fact that they were complete a-holes to their server an kept saying, ""we are gunna pack this place."" But when they were told they were told they were going to go on, they had not even 20 people in the bar. The reason I know this is because I work with promoters, agents, bars, clubs, bands, hop hops groups and every kind of performer under the sun. The way the, ""artist,"" were acting around the public made them seem like a bunch of amateur idiots trying to remake the movie, ""8 Mile."" I spoke with a guy who was a manager there and he even told me he's booked a lot of hiphop acts but you can't charge people $8 at 6PM on a Thursday and have acts go on that early with a dinner crowd. So tone down your RACIST comments about this place. If anyone is racist, it's YOU for pointing your finger without having any solid evidence on your behalf. more

I have been going to this bar on and off for a year now and for someone to say the bar is, ""racist,"" must have a short fuse or a complete idiot. I was there in March for a battle fo the bands and there was a HIP HOP group that was awesome. My bartender was a Mexican guy, the manager was Indian and it was a a very mixed crowd as far as race goes. I remember the black boucner from a few years ago we called, ""Sinbad,"" and another big black who worked out at my gym they called, ""Tyson."" more

I was supposed to attend the Hip Hop Movement Tour on July 29, 2010. Unfortunetly, after we were almost halfway to Lisle from West Chicago, we recieved a call saying that we shouldnt come because the owner of the bar the band was supposed to play at didnt want Colored people and hip hop in his bar! How do you book a show with the title of hip hop in its name, when you DONT want hip hop in your bar? And to cancel an hour before the show, i believe its very unprofessional and ignorant! Pros: Dont know... because - Cons: i wasnt able to go due to the bar owners racism more

A bunch of my girlfriends & I went there for a birthday party and we were supposed to have a reserved section. We did not. They had a bad, loud band and our server was nowhere to be found for most of the night until we went out to smoke and there she was. Luckily we went to the bar and the bartenders gave us free drinks! In return we had to listen to their lame pickup lines. Thanks for the free drinks but we won't be back. Pros: Free drinks from the bartenders cuz they said we were cute Cons: bad service, bad entertainment...just bad more

this place has it all! great parking, wonderful bar (beautiful), very experienced staff (bartenders & waitresses), some of the best bands perform here, the owner goes all out to hire the top entertainment! this place is a little upscale and well worth it!- they demand the best because they offer the best! excellent food & drinks! great crowd (patrons), you will have the best time! if you are young & crazy & like fights and your drinking gets out of hand, then go to maple ave pub, because that won't be tolerated here! this is a higher class place with a down to earth atmoshere, a real ""at home"" feel! this is the place to hang out & meet new & exciting people, you will really enjoy yourself here! Pros: the best food, music, spirits, crowd, staff, parking, facility, atmosphere!!! Cons: a little upscale, not for the newly 21 crowd, they wont tolerate fights! more
