Local Scoop

We always love to stop here for an ice cream cone or a burger...a great old time place to get both!! Scoops are big and their bannana split in gigantic! Nice, big, roomy place for kids! I would give this place 5 stars except the have the craziest hours....we always want to stop in after a high school basketball game on a Friday night...or after a dinner at the local restaurants, but they close so early, it is strange. It's a joke in our family now to say...."I have a great idea, let's go down to the local scoop....oh yeah, but they are closed" more

If you are looking for good dessert this is the plcae to come to. I took my friends and we each got a dessert, and when they were delivered we kicked ourselves for ordering so much. Every item there is splitable, which helps for the cost. Also the burgers there are good, and come with an order of fries. It is very casual, and kid friendly. If you are looking for a quick place to eat this one is good. more

My kids beg to eat at this local restaraunt. The menu includes hamburgers, salad, sandwiches. Every entree is served with a cookie. The place shines in their ice cream creations. Servings are huge! Their banana split "to share" is large enough for my family of six. They use so much whipped cream, we can't even see the ice cream and everyone gets a cherry on top. They also serve hard ice cream shakes topped with whipping cream that are delicious. Their kids meals come with a beverage and an ice cream cone. I gave it a three star instead of four because their hamburgers are a bit pricey, in the $7.00 range. They do come with fries though. Their hours can fluctuate so call first before going. We'd have spent a lot more money there if every time we went they were open. more
