Lizzy & the Enchanted Creamery

I went into Lizzy's today with my two children and two of their friends. The man behind the counter just started barking for our orders as soon as we walked in. Then he berated one of my son's friends telling him he wasn't getting ice cream without saying please. I was in the process of addressing this myself but he felt the need to embarass this child. There were no games or toys he said the kids could play with after so we finished our ice cream and we left. He never said good-bye. I will spend my money elsewhere next time. more

A neighbor of ours told us about Lizzy's and brought us a pint of homemade peanut butter cup to try. It was the best we have ever tasted and we have had many! The icecream had a perfect balance of sweetness and texture. It was not too creamy like other homemade ice creams can be. The quality of flavor and ingredients cannot be beat. Well done Lizzy's! We can't wait to try more flavors! more

This is the coolest little shop - my family loves it. We often will stop here for dessert after dining on Chinese at Chan's. Lizzy & The Enchanted Creamery is 3/4 toy store, 1/4 ice cream shop. Their ice cream is high-quality, premium ice cream, and they have great coffee and espresso. So hubby and I sit down with a coffee while the kids go off and explore the toy store. These are high-end, educational type toys, most of which won't be found in a big-box chain toy store. There is a dress-up area for the kids to act out their wishes, and though the space is small, we could spend hours here. more

Lizzy and the Enchanted Creamery has homemade ice cream year round and many different flavors. Even during the summer when you are waiting in line forever at other ice cream places, the enchanted creamery is usually quick and with no wait. They also have frozen hot chocolate in different flavors, fudge and coffee. I have been in there several times and have always loved their ice cream. Lizzys also has a calendar of events that are geared for kids. A great one is the story telling time. Another is when they make different things like slime. They also book ice cream making parties and craft making parties at reasonable prices. The kids can take the craft or a pint of the ice cream home with them (which helps by not having to figure out what to give as favors) The store itself is full of different gift type things for children which makes it a great place to shop for kids that you have no clue what to buy them. I think that because they are kind of off in a corner of the plaza it is a store that is overlooked and is the best kept secret in Cumberland. They have a very relaxed atmosphere and I really think kids and adults would love this place. more
