Living Safari

I walked in just to check it out when they opened. It's nice enough, good assortment of supplies, clean and organized. I would support this business over Petco any day. On a side note, I recognized who seemed to be the manager of this store as an old employee of ""Incredible Pets"" in Sandy (which coincidentally has now been replaced with Living Safari II at this time). Incredible Pets was awful, just the opposite kind of pet store. I do hope they'd made nothing but improvements to their professionalism and quality. Check it out, it's a fun see. more

I agree completely with everything the MLattari said in his or her review. I wanted to add that my husband and I have lived all over the US and love to visit pet stores everywhere. We agreed that this is hands-down the best pet store we've ever visited. The cleanliness and upkeep on the animals are exceptional. The habitats were all correct, not just temporary set-ups. They also had the best selection of invertebrates at exceptional prices. The owners were there while we were and we had a lovely time talking to them about the animals. Knowledgeable and caring staff round out all the pluses of this great pet store. We also noticed that the prices on their pet supplies were just as good or BETTER than the large chain pet stores, which is unheard of in small pet stores. We purchased a spider and crab and drove 300 miles home with them because we couldn't pass them up. They are both very happy in their new home and we know it's because of the care they received before we purchased them. My husband was also ecstatic about the fact that they were able to tell him the age and sex of his spider. We WILL be back to shop with them again, even though it's a three hour drive from our home. Pros: Best place for reptiles and invertebrates Cons: There are no cons to speak of. more

Living Safari is a new establishment with exceptional quality. All areas of the store are clean and in pristine condition. All animal enclosures are very well kept and clean, and the animals themselves are all very healthy, happy, and well fed (which you can visibly see by their size). The store doesn't even smell bad which is unlike any other of the pet stores in the area. Their prices for pets are the lowest in town. The store it self has a beautiful layout with many interesting things to just look at. It's a great place just to take a child to look at all the displays of animals. And to top off the Living Safari's staff are very friendly and accomodating and are willing to help you in any way or answer any questions you may have. As a customer who has been to all the pet stores in the Salt Lake area I am very impressed with their business and plan to continue to use them for all my pet needs.
