I've been to the Living Room twice. It's a cozy enough of a place but I can't see anything that special about it. The cake selection looks okay, but it is nothing spectacular. ...

Good Coffee 10/11/2005

The Living Room seems to be the place for college students. When I come here during dinner time, this place is usually crowded with students and young adults who've just got off work. During the day, this place is usually quiet and empty. The coffee and desserts here pretty good. more

It's not that great 8/13/2005

I've been to the Living Room twice. It's a cozy enough of a place but I can't see anything that special about it. The cake selection looks okay, but it is nothing spectacular. The second time I went to the Living Room, I ordered a ham sandwich that came with a small bag of Lay's chips. It was rather pricy considering the small portions. I wouldn't go here again. more

Comfy coffee house 8/11/2005

This fun coffee house in downtown La Jolla features wonderfully brewed coffee and delicious pastries, including an especially great fruit tart. Comfortably inviting couches and arm chairs cover the single story flat. It's the perfect location for some coffee house studying, hanging out with friends, or taking advantage of the games and books from the Living Room shelves. more

Just like a living room 8/11/2005

The coffeehouse in La Jolla on the Prospect St. provides a theme of middle class family’s living room. Each of the chairs and tables is one of a kind which breaks the image of union sets of furniture in most people’s house. I bring friends to there at night because it opens late until midnight daily. The coffee tastes quiet rich and they have so many choices of refreshments that always give me a hard time to decide which one to order. This coffeehouse has a rectangular shape and down inside the house on the right side has a great window view. Different corners provide different feelings. I keep going back to this place because of the drinks, and I can always find my own spot that suits me. more
