Editorial review from Citysearch 10/3/2012

Got Bugs! Little V.I.P.'s does... My infant daughter attended 2011 through 2012. It started out great then Ms. Barb passed and her daughters took over. The place has never been the same. Much of the staff and parents pulled away except the ultra loyal. My daughter moved up from younger infants to older infants. Her new teacher was 19 years old and had little to no experience. Most of the time she was on her cellphone text with screaming babies all around her. One day my wife picked her up and all the cribs were flipped up and they were frantically cleaning. When asked if there was a problem, she was blown off. At home we removed our daughters clothes to see why she was itching. Pure horror was our feeling to see she was eaten alive by something. We threw her clothes outside and left for the hospital. She had over 40 bites by fleas or bed bugs. I called the daycare to inform them and was met by anger over the phone. I was told how dare I question them, possibly it happened in the car on the way home *really*.\r Little VIP's is dirty and the owners are without class and professionalism. Our daughter was eaten alive, they said her teacher didn't even know. There are far better daycare's out there, choose wisely. Little VIP's has bugs, no security, no compassion, and no hope to survive with these two owners. more

What a shame 4/17/2012

It is a real travisty that after Ms Barb passed away that this daycare has turn into a one ring circus full of pig headed and absent minded people. A few of the workers are genuinely caring and will actually make sure your child is cared for, but that is if you are lucky to get those people. My daughter was sent home filthy consistantly when a certain worker was working, when I complained I was told that children get dirty, and I should just accept that. I later found out that the specific worker was fired, but only for talking ""rumors"" about the current owners--the previous owners daughters. It felt like she was fired because they didn't want anyone finding out that they don't know how to run a day care like their mother did. Ms Barb was great and there was over 600 people easy at her funeral. It is a shame that her business is now being ran into the ground. There are cheaper and more reasonable day cares in the area. This day care is also not very secure with such an open door policy...you can walk right in, no being buzzed in to make sure your child isnt kid napped. They charge you a high fee and also expect you to bring in food daily for your child, but nothing that takes more then one minute to cook in a microwave? Still don't understand that concept. Also it seems to me that the 2 new positive feedbacks seem to be the new runners of the daycare trying to bring their reviews back up...conviently creating the profile on the same date and leaving the positive comment on the same date, when there hasn't been one review since 2008---seems legit to me. more

this daycare is a joke 4/17/2012

Between me and you this world revolves around money...and so does Little Vip's in Bellmawr, NJ. It is a shame though, because this preschool once was a bright spot in the neighborhood, a place you could trust to love and care for your children. This is no longer true. A business must be run on morals, a sense of the better good, with an eye and ear on helping the community that it serves. Little Vips is not run this way anymore. If profit and babysitting is what you crave then by all means choose this daycare. If you crave like I do a daycare that loves its children, is more than just an expensive babysitter, serves its community, and is honorable then do yourself a favor and pick another daycare. Little Vip's is nothing more than an overpriced babysitter. There are several cheaper alternatives with better facilities in the area. more

Unbelievable child care, unbeatable price! 4/13/2012

I love this daycare. My child has been attending for 3 years, and we both love it! I'm very particular about who I allow to watch my children. The staff and owners are so loving and caring that I felt at ease very quickly. Sending my child to this facility is one of the best decisions I have ever made. By the time she was two yeas old, she knew all her colors and shapes, and she could count to 15. Her vocabulary is unbelievable. The curriculum is amazing. They minimize use of the television, unlike some much mote expensive places. So the kids are always busy with story time, crafts, or recreational play. They also pay for someone to come in and have dance and music classes for the kids. They even bring in Santa Clause at Christmas to save parents the aggravation of waiting in mall lines. For all that (and I'm sure I missed some things), the price is amazing. In three years the tuition was only raised $5, and the director wrote a letter of appology to the parents for having to do so. I was reading the terrible review here about my daycare, and I just had to tell it how it really is. After all, daycares have bills too. I can't for the life of me figure out what a daycare copay is. Although it sounds like the taxpayers are footing the bulk of the bill (which if you need help that is fine, but they have co-pays for a reason- it is what you CAN afford. I mean if you do not want to lose that money out of your pocket for the exceptional care for a child you love, how can you expect a business to want to lose that money?) more

A Business, Not a Charity 4/13/2012

My child has attended Little VIPs for over a year now and I couldn't be happier. The staff is loving, caring, and I know that my child receives optimal care daily. In choosing a day care, I was looking for a place in which the cost was reasonable, the staff was knowledgeable and loving, and my child's individual needs would be met. My child is asthmatic and had some developmental delays. Little VIPs has been so supportive in cooperating with Early Intervention, following specific requests regarding my child's delays, and administering the necessary medications to treat his asthma. Little VIPs also has one of the lowest costs of all the day cares in the area. As it is well known that it is a business and not a charity, I happily pay my full cost weekly (as I know nothing about a simple co-pay), because you can't really put a price on your child's safety and happiness. Beth and Brenda, who recently inherited the day care from their angel of a mother, are doing an amazing job at running the day care just as Miss Barb would have wanted. Beth and Brenda love all of the kids that attend their day care. Unfortunately, as anyone who has ever worked in a day care is well aware of, the parents are sometimes far more immature and difficult to deal with than the children. I would highly recommend Little VIPs to anyone looking to place their child in day care; in fact, I have many times already! :) Thanks for loving my child Little VIPs! more

Nothing but wasted money!!!! 4/6/2012

It is a true tragedy what has happened since the loving Miss Barb tragically passed away this past March. This one time gem who loved every child as if they were her own is sorely missed. It is no longer about the children it is now all about the money. I can not rightfully recommend a daycare that cares more about a copay than the children that it cares for. They do not honor contracts, they do not conduct business honestly, they do not supply a proper invoice, quote ""it's just your responsibility to know"", when you ask them to own up to their business practices they refuse and KICK YOUR CHILD TO THE CURB. This is not the type of daycare that you want your children to grow up around. While some of the workers are very caring and do honestly care very deeply about your child. Others that work there are just part of the good old club and follow blindly where errant owners no lead. Yes this daycare used to be home for my little one, but now no more....If you care about the upbringing of your child and want to be treated fairly...FIND ANOTHER DAYCARE!!! more

LITTLE VIP'S PRESCHOOL, Bellmawr, NJ - THE BEST! 4/15/2008

I spent 8 months looking and researching Day Cares in our area and had settled on Little VIP'S as the best fit for my son. I have seen the workings of Barb, Beth (Mother, Daughter owners) & the teachers first hand and ALL the children come first in their eyes. They advocate for the child and their parents when the need arises. Dedication? Barb has gone above and beyond. She took time out of her day to attend a Child Study meeting without cost to us. They seem to work with the employees and their personal schedules. They run an EXCELLENT day care. Teacher Certifications do not mean that you are a good, caring, loving, understanding, and a patient individual. At this day care with or without the certifications, we have it all. Barb & Beth both believe that if you need an appointment to come into the day care then the day care has something to hide. Come when you want and visit and call as much as you like. This is their philosophy. My son is African American and is treated like all the other kids. There are other ethnic children in Little VIP'S also. I have NEVER experienced any racism nor have I seen it. My son has NEVER had an incident of Lice as long as he has been there; and when he has gotten hurt it has been an accident or from another child. He tells me. I walk all over Little VIP's at all hours and have never seen unscrupulous behavior from ANY of the staff. No smoking, & clean bathrooms. My son has Asthma. I have seen Nebulizer treatments given and at no time have I seen my son's Nebulizer shared. At lunch my son has told me he has eaten his teacher's lunch, not that the teacher has eaten his. What we forget is children talk and tell all. Although we are not related to Barb or Beth, to us we think of them of as family. Barb (the Director) gets lots of hugs and kisses from the kids as they come and go. My son has grown and excelled at Little VIP's. There are many of us that believe in Little VIP'S. more
