Breakfast The best fish sandwich!!! And Soccer on Satellite 2/16/2012

You may have read about the decor, or spartan nature thereof. Its all true, but if you have a hankering for some authentic Israeli food, and strictly kosher to boot, there really is no other alternative in Minnesota.\r \r My suggestion is to print out a menu from the website before you go, which will make ordering much smoother.\r \r The fresh salads are very tasty. I recommend a sampler plate. If it isn't on the menu, ask if they can put one together. This is nice for more than one person to share, and will give you an idea of which one will be your favorite. I love the rainbow and the matbucha salads best.\r \r The walleye sandwich comes with fries. I sometimes order two, because I know I will want another later on! Don't forget the tartar sauce and lemon. For a healthier option, substitute an israeli salad for a small amount extra. The fillet is very tender, well seasoned, and has great mouthfeel. \r \r The pizza has noticably improved over the years, but I would like to see larger size pies. A family of 7 can easily through 2 pies of 14""; a 16"" or 18"" pie would be a nice choice - perhaps this would occur with enough requests.\r \r The Premier League Soccer matches are shown on an expansive 60 inch (?) HDTV, visible anywhere in the restaurant. It certainly gives you something to do if you are seated alone, or waiting in line.\r \r I agree the prices can seem to add up to a significant bill, but bear in mind that this due in part to the kosher supervision. \r \r There is beer and wine. \r \r You can also purchase the salads to take home.\r \r I hope this review has been helpful. My kids are always happy to eat at Little Tel Aviv (which is where pre-ordering may prove invaluable, especially right before Passover, when it becomes a madhouse!) and if you get quick appetizers, they may have enough patience to not cause a scene (unless you give them your cell phone to play games while waiting.) \r \r I haven't had breakfast there...yet.\r \r more

Not enough Food!! 8/29/2010

If you like Israeli food and are hungry go somewhere else. The food may taste good but if you are ordering for 10 maybe you should tell them its for 20 then maybe you will get enough. But of course you will pay for 20 when all you really need is enough for 10. more

Delicious food - fantastic service 6/25/2008

The best Baba Ganush I have ever had! I love this restaurant - everything is good. Anyone can find something to eat here and be happy. I live out of state and only miss 3 restaurants - this is at the top of the short list. Pros: Food, service more

Israeli food, finally! 4/24/2007

I am from Israel, and have been searching for years for real Israeli food, not just what the Mid-West calls Middle Eastern. This place feels like home. Yes, the tables are boring and it's in a strip mall. But the food is always fresh, the pitas are the best in town (I always buy a bag to take home) and the service is warm and fast. I brought a friend here whose idea of eating ""out of the box"" is ranch dressing with her chicken fingers. She loved it! There are plenty of options for those not familiar with Israeli food: great egg salad, fresh salads, and the best falafel in town for the beginner as well as the expert . I highly recommend the Nana tea with fresh mint leaves. A bit spendy but worth the splurg since the rest of the menu is so reasonable. Pros: Great fresh authentic food. Nana tea, awsome fries. Cons: Strip mall, ambience lacking, deli. more

Great Food 5/28/2003

The falafel is the best you can get short of flying to Israel. Pros: Good Parking, Great Staff more
