Thank you 10/19/2011

I was told that this store has some incredible designs for formal events, so I decided to stop in and see. WOW what a store. I fell in love with at least twenty outfits, but I was still pregnant. I did find a super christening gown and made an appointment for after the delivery to stop in and get it. I did not even need to leave a deposit. A few days after my baby was born I sent my husband to the store and he picked up this angelic gown. Our event was perfect. I will bring my photos to the store and thank them in person for all the help. They have the most amazing children clothing. Love this store. It is a jewel. Thank thanks thanks, Jen more

Appointments Needed 7/16/2009

The previous reviewer I believe mistook what happened on his wife's visit as racism. What he did not mention or was aware of was that appointments need to be made when shopping for specialty clothing (like when shopping for wedding gowns). The front of the store sells seasonal clothing and in the rear and behind the glass doors are the specialty items that are handmade and run 100s of dollars. This would explain why others were taken ahead of his wife and why they were told not to open the doors w/o assistance. I have shopped there for years and make a 1 hour trip to get there. I am white and I have been told not to touch the dresses w/o assistance. You wouldn't want a dress you paid lots of money for to be mishandled. I know I wouldn't. Pros: Best christening/communion gowns Cons: Parking is hard to come by more

Great Apparel, Horrendous Service... Report sent 4/1/2009

One day after about a month of my son's birth, my wife and I (i'm white, my wife is not) walked into Little Lords, Little Ladies and were immediately helped, albeit with a rather snippy mature-aged woman. We live in the neighborhood and find all other shops rather considerate of all races. We spoke for a couple of minutes and the woman said to come back at a later time, which we took as a good suggestion being that our son's Christening wasn't for another two months and he would have grown significantly by then. We appreciated her concern. About a month later (son now two months) my wife went in again with my son in-hand and my mother-in-law and waited for about ten minutes before feeling that they had to leave the store due to racism. The reason I feel it was due to racism was for the simple fact that they were told to wait for assistance, not to touch anything, and to stay away from the ""platform"" which I can understand because the ""platform"" was a rickity step shabbily thrown together and obviously kept in disrepair. On top of this, my wife and mother-in-law not only had to wait for service but had to wait for four more people who came in after them to be waited on, finally my wife had enough and just left. While she waited on an associate to help her - being that there were two helping one customer - one of the associates said to the other, ""go help them."" My wife felt that they were talking about her, while in fact the associate passed her by and helped the fourth customer that entered the store. Upon leaving, nobody acknowledged her... In fact the associate closest to her made it a point not to acknowledge her. Pros: NONE - Store across street are exactly same and cheaper Cons: If they don't like you, they won't help you more

Great kids store in Brooklyn 7/16/2008

This is the greatest store to shop for kids clothing. I purchased a hand made Christening Gown and I love it. Can't wait for the Christenning of my son next week. The store sells top European designer clothing for kids. Fun stuff at great prices. The owner is knowlegeble and pleasant. She was very helpful in selecting the proper gown for the event. I recommend it to anyone. Will surely be back. Thanks a lot. I do recommend to make appointments for formal wear as the sales person must work with you exclusively. The store is very proper and will dedicate all time needed to help during the selection process. Pros: Quality, sizes, clean, selection, buitiful store Cons: parking more
