This is a Punjabi dhaba style dive - there are barely five tables. I have been coming here for years and the trick is to know what to order. All your usual tandoori chicken, tikka masalas and kormas will not work in a place like this. However, they make the best naan, goat curry and kadhi (yogurt/chickpea flour curry) in Los Angeles. Period. Daal (lentil curry), bharta (roasted, smushed eggplant) and paranthas are good as well. But that's it.
My friends and I drive 30 miles to eat here, just for the things I mentioned above. Some of these dishes used to be part of the buffet but are now a la cart. If you seek them out you will understand why I give this place 4 stars. (Wanted to give 5 but this is a dive after all...)
