This restaurant is the ultimate small-town cafe -- without the town. It is just a small building in the owner's side yard out on a country road. Breakfast (eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, French toast, hashed browns) is topped off by homemade long johns (weekdays) and cinnamon rolls (weekends). Burgers, ribs, barbecue, and chicken-fried steak fill out the lunch and dinner menus. But be sure to save room for the pie. There are usually about ten different kinds at noon, but as the day draws to a close the most popular flavors sell out.
