We had a good first experience and went for a second. Admittedly, we were late getting there, and it was not handled well by the proprietress. We were 15 minutes late for a lesson; tried to call on the way when stuck in traffic but no answer. When we arrived, the pony ofr our son wasn't saddled (like it was the last time) and the proprietress was in a horse trailer smacking a horse that was about half way in. She said she had to be ""out of there"" at 11:30 so when we were late, she started loading. When I tried to explain we tried to call, she made some excuse that her machine was messed up but she had voicemail - but when we called it just rang and rang. When I asked her how it was she was going to give our son a half hour lesson starting at 11 AM and then load up her horse and tack and leave at 11:30, she only said we would have to disagree. Given that she hadn't even saddled the pony and had a horse halfway loaded, I doubt she had even started to get ready for us. Clearly she had overbooked for the morning and couldn't admit it. We also had called to confirm the appointment and she never mentioned having to leave at 11:30. We stopped for a coke at a convenience store and she also pulled in - at 11:28 and was moving like her hair was on fire. She clearly had somewhere to be that conflicted with our appointment. There are lots of other places that teach riding lessons to kids - we will be going there.
Pros: they have equines
Cons: they are not very flexible and, IMO, not forthcoming
