I called Little Friends Pet Sitting three days ago, looking for regular Monday-Friday midday walks for my dog Charlie. My husband and I got Charlie from a rescue about three weeks ago, and he has been having some separation anxiety issues, so we thought we would hire a pet sitter. Upon looking at reviews, we decided to call Little Friends. Took them two days to call back, finally spoke to the owner Terry, and immediately was turned off. Very abrupt, seemed like she had other things to do with her time, and kept cutting me off and interrupting what I was trying to go over with her about Charlie. Needless to say, we were very turned off, and called another company, which we are VERY happy with. I'm sure they are probably a good company, and their sitters don't reflect the attitude of their owner, but we didn't want to find out, Charlie is too important to us. more

Batting one for two 8/1/2010

I first engaged Little Friends to watch my two cats over a long weekend. Terry, the owner, was very professional and put me at ease immediately. Not only did she do a stellar job with my cats, but she watered my plants and cleaned up any litter or food mess so when I returned home I didn't have a mess to welcome me. During the weekend a pipe began to leak and not only did Terry call me to let me know about flooding in the bedroom/bathroom area, she volunteered to call maintenance and she talked to them and kept me more informed about their progress than they did. I was exceptionally happy with Terry and Little Friends and had every confidence in using them again. Unfortunately, this is where the trouble started. Terry was unavailable so another sitter was sent to meet with me to discuss a six-day pet sit. This sitter assured me that she knew a lot about cats as she had nine of her own. This actually made me a bit uneasy, but since I had called on short notice and trusted Little Friends I decided to go with it. I introduced this new sitter to my two cats and let her know that one of them was older, shy and prone to hiding from depression whenever I was not home. I told her to just leave her be and not try to force her out. Three days later I get a phone call that the sitter was trying to ""make friends"" by reaching for my cat under the bed and was bitten. The bite was now infected and animal control was notified. My cat has never even hissed at a person in the 14 years that I've had her and she is very submissive and docile. A person experienced with cats especially should know two things: never corner and reach out to a scared and defensive cat and if you are bitten or scratched wash immediately with hot soapy water. Animal control came to my house at 7am on a Saturday following my return demanding the mandatory quarantine of my cat for 10 days. This incident was not my cat's fault and I gave the sitter explicit instructions not to try to engage my cat if she were too afraid to come out of hiding. With nine cats of her own I expected more. Loved Little Friends!!!!! 6/15/2010

I had great experience with Little Friends Pet Sitting. They looked after my pet family over a long weekend. My pets were happy and well looked after when I returned. They left notes about what they did at each visit and they also brought in my paper and mail. I will definately use Little Friends again! Pros: Very Professional and Caring Cons: None! more

Excellent cat care! 6/10/2010

I recently had Little Friends pet sit for my cat, Peggy. They were able to accomodate me even though it was short notice. Bethany took great care of Peggy! She came over for a consultation beforehand. She was organized and professional. More importantly, she loves cats and is experienced in giving them medications! I felt very comfortable having her in my home and looking after my baby. It is such a relief to be able to go out of town and know that Peggy is in good hands. Flexible - great pet setting service 6/2/2010

I work from home but travel some days and needed a pet sitting service that could work with my constantly changing (and sometimes last minute) schedule. Little Friends Pet Sitting has been easy to work with and give me great peace of mind when I have to leave for a full day and don't want the puppy alone in her crate all day. Both Bethany and Terry (the owner) came to meet me and the puppy on short notice and have worked with a constantly changing schedule - leaving daily reports on how the pup did, and even sending me email updates when I wanted them. When my schedule required multiple visits in a day, they've made sure one of them was available with Terry even coming one week herself! Pros: Timely, Good Communication, Caring Cons: n/a more

BEST Pet Sitters in CLT!!! 5/11/2010

I have two cats Nico & Jake. They are the LOVES of my life! I travel often with my job and I always struggle to find friends to take care of them when I'm gone.
