The Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort is your home away from home. The perfect vacation spot...far enough away from all the commotion in Murrells Inlet and Myrtle Beach, but close enough to venture into those busy little areas if you wanted to. This resort has over 500 rooms, all mostly kept up to date and in good condition. They are privately owned units, stocked and cared for by their owners. Each one is unique in the tastes and ideos of others. The restaurant Webster's is an on-site delight, with it serving primarily seafood and steak, along with some other things like chicken and salads. They also have three on-site premium golf courses (the Litchfield Country Club, River Club, and Willbrook). A couple words of advice: The Seaside Inn was just built on the resort a little over a year ago. It is in prime condition, with you being able to rent out either just a room, a suite, or a two bedroom suite. The Seaside units are lovely, and it's only about 8 minutes walking distance from the ocean. Be sure to book early, though, as these units sell out fast! Also, always remember to call to book your reservations, as on-line bookings don't always turn out how you'd like. Using things like expedia and hotelier are great for lowering your prices, but if you don't like the room once you get there, their is little that the resort can do to move you, as you are not paying them, but paying the website you went through. The "fairway" units are all the rooms on the opposwite side of the street from the resort, on the golf courses. They are great for golfers, but if you do not want to have to drive to get to the lazy river pool and kids play area, try to keep the room types as either "scenic" or "ocean front". Also, all of the ocean units are behind the dunes, so you'll need a third floor or higher to see the ocean. All in all, this is a terrific vacation spot to stay while you are visiting South Carolina!
