Really Really bad Customer service. I had to buy bunch of stuff our wedding party. I was told by the manager of Liqour land (Bev Max ) to buy more then I need so iI wont run out...

Really Really bad Customer service. I had to buy bunch of stuff our wedding party. I was told by the manager of Liqour land (Bev Max ) to buy more then I need so iI wont run out of anything. If I dont use anything I could bring it back. After the party when I took few unopened bottles of wine, the guy refused to take it back. He said he said no such thing. That was the last time i went there. I hope that place burns down to ground. more

Very helpful with special orders 11/28/2005

I went to Liquor Land looking for a specific brand of pinot grigio. While the selection was excellent, what I wanted was not in stock. I spoke to the owner about what I was looking for and he took down my name and number. A couple of weeks later, I received two bottles of my favorite wine - and at a very competitive price. Though the turnaround time seemed somewhat slow, I was very impressed with the ease at which my order was completed. Service and selection are two of Liquor Land's strong points. more

Good prices, helpful staff 10/24/2005

If you are planning an event that you need liquor in quantity (party, wedding, etc) you can get great deals here. I was impressed by the variety and how knowledgable the staff was. I expected a discounted facility to sort of have that off-brand dusty feel to it, but with the exception of having shopping carts, it looked just like any other liquor shop. They have a large selection and deals are to be had in volume. They also have a small clearance bin if you are just looking for a few bottles or you don' t need multiples of the same vintage and can use a variety. They are very helpful and have been seen helping people carry their orders out to their car. The parking is around the back, so don't be intimidated by the initial appearance of limited parking on the tiny side driveway. more

Great Selection 8/21/2005

This is a HUGE liquor store with a great selection. There is a knowledgable staff and they can do special orders as well. They have occasional wine tastings and special events. Easy to maneuver store with shopping carts, etc. Can use cash, credit to pay. Great place to rent a keg for a party. Local and convienent. more

Huge Store, Good Prices 8/13/2005

Liquor Land has been in business for decades and has always brought Hamden a great place to shop for alcoholic beverages. Liquor Land has all the stuff you'd expect at a liquor store, but is also very big. They have hard to find items and a lot of microbrews which you won't find elsewhere. Parking is plentiful as they are located inside a business complex, and have their own parking lot. They are great for special orders and their prices are very competitive. You can easily buy a keg or plan a party with their knowledgable staff. Their hours are extremely convenient. As with all CT liquor stores, they are closed on Sunday's. more
