Editorial review from Citysearch 3/22/2013

I took my dog there to get a test done, after waiting quite some time my dog was taken back to get the test done, after 1 minute she came back and said that they cannot do the test today and that I would have to come back. I went to walk out the door when they said that I owed them $20 for doing absolutely nothing. I havent been satisfied with their service lately or with Dr. Dizik. My dog will NOT be seeing Dr. Dizik anymore and I would not recommend him. more

Trust 1/31/2008

I have known Dr. Dizik for a long time. I completely trust my animals to his care and the care of his staff. I have found them all to have utmost concern and compasion not only for the animal patients but for their owners as well! When my first dog had cancer Dr. Dizik went out of his way to accomodate MY needs as well with regards to the care of my dog. I bring all of my animals here and have endorsed this service to several of my friends who have pets. more

Lincoln Park Veterinary Hospital is Purrfect! 9/4/2007

Recently, my cat Noodles had to undergo a procedure for a hyperactive thyroid. This procedure required him to stay at the veterinary hospital for 5 days, As you can imagine I was heart sick to be away from him during this period. Dr. Dizik and his staff were fabulous! The staff was receptive to me calling every day to check on his status. In fact, the compassion they demonstrated was first class. I highly recommend Lincoln Park Veterinary Hospital. Special thanks to the entire staff! more

Compassion 5/23/2007

I just wanted to take a minute and say how wonderful Lincoln park vet is. I have gone to many different clinics throughout the years trying to find one that shows the compassion I feel is necessary in veterinary medicine and Lincoln park exceeds it! The staff there from the moment you walk in is friendly and prompt- which is helpful when you are waiting with 2 hyper dogs! The technical staff is very knowledgeable and caring, and the doctors are excellant. I took my shep-mix there for the first time after visiting another vet who was not able to tell me what was wrong with my dog. Within a 1/2 hour I had an answer. He needed to be hospitalized with fluid therapy and some medicine- and within 2 days he was his happy self again. During his stay i was able to visit and I felt confident he was in able hands. Since then we having been going there and I just love it. They greet me by name and say hi to the dogs by name. My dogs actually like going there! I would recommend them to e more

Seems the Vet is afaird of dogs ???? 11/14/2005

I took my dog to have his nails clipped while out of town. I stopped at the Lincoln park Vet and said " I just want his nails clipped. But he snaps if I try. Maybe you might have to muzzle him." He is a good dog but snaps if you touch his feet. He also hates muzzles. I told the Vet I will hold his neck and he could mizzzle him from behind." The dog weighs 10 pounds. The vet said " I will stand in the hall and you muzzle him." I said " ThHAT is why I am bringing him to a vet,I can`t get a muzzle on him.I could cut the nails myself." He said " I will give you pills and you don`t feed him torrow and bring him back at 2 pm tomorrow." I called my vet who said " DON~T GIVE THOSE PILLS TO HIM." He said they don`t knock him out all time. Most dogs it makes mean for a day.." I took my dog to my Vet when I went home a few days later and HE cut the nails. I thought Vet are suppose to be able to handle dificult animals. PROS: They seemed to care for the other patients CONS: Can`t cut nails if t more

Caring staff 11/9/2005

I have 4 cats and have so far brought 3 of them into this hospital. The staff are very caring and gentle and they obviously are animal lovers themselves. I felt safe leaving my little guys overnight knowing that they'd be taken care of. more
