A Dining Experience I Look Forward To... 7/30/2011

Limo not only has excellent food and amazing wine, but the waitstaff is attentive and detail oriented. Oftentimes, the small staff OF TWO are so busy, that it is amazing they can attend to all their customers with such care. I have dined here with my father and we both agreed that we would certainly frequent this restaurant for special occasions. The service we both received was EXCELLENT and I highly disagree with anyone who says otherwise. Oftentimes people (mostly who've NEVER WORKED IN THE RESTAURANT INDUSTRY) fail to see how difficult working in this environment can be and so they say derogatory things, which bear no actual reflection on the service or hard work these individuals put in to accommodate their guests' needs. Also, I have seen a new ""Living Social"" mentality arise, which places more emphasis on being demanding than being able to appreciate the luxury of dining out. Anyway, not to get off point... I would suggest this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy casual fine dining with an amazing atmosphere and terrific service. more

Fun place to celebrate a birthday ............. 12/13/2010

We met for lunch and had a wonderful time thanks to our great waiter. He was friendly and helped us with menu choices, answered all of our questions about Peruvian food, gave us a receipe for Pisco \r Sours, brought a speical dessert for our birthday girl, and gave her a generous gift certificate. All and all we had a wonderful experience. more

Best Bday Lunch EVER! 12/12/2010

Great food, friendly service! Desserts were amazing. Beef was fabulous. Took my gf there for her bday and they gave her a gift card for their apparel shop, Paseo, right next door. Beautiful store! We'll be back when it's my bday! more

Bad bad service 9/10/2010

I had heard of them on the news and decided to take the family to check them out. We drove downtowm specifically to try this place out. What a dissapoinment! We were told by the waitress they dont have highchairs but she thought they ""might have one booster seat"". Ok. We sat to wait and she came back right away with ONE cup of water! There was half full cups of water on the table (from previous customers? how long had they been sitting out? we were on a table on the outside deck)and I guess she assumed she didnt need to bring fresh water for everybody. She threw some menus on the table and that was the last we saw of her. We waited for half an hour and my guess is she probably forgot about us because we were the only group sitting outside. We kept on waiting while holding the baby ( the booster seat never made it out) and finally decided to leave. I dont think they even noticed we left. Im peruvian and I was craving some flavors from home What a dissapointment!. We'll just stick to Andina next time. more

The food is GREAT! 8/19/2010

A friend and I tried Limo recently, after a few friends told us the food was amazing. Not only were they right, the happy hour prices AND the sangria were incredible! I'm not a fish eater, but LOVED the classic ceviche & everything else we tried from the menu. They were on 'living social' today and I bought their coupon immediately! I'm looking forward to returning soon!! more

Limo Is a Delight! 7/12/2010

For others reading the reviews for Limo, I would disregard Perlita's. Click on her name and you will notice only two reviews and both of them bashing said restaurants and saying they are overpriced. Perlita, you may want to stick to McDonald's as it may be more in your price range.\r \r I started going to Limo a few months after it opened. I immediately loved this place and it became one of my favorite restaurants in town. They have incredible ceviches and I love the causas! Service is always friendly. \r \r They have a great outdoor patio and a nice happy hour, too!\r \r When I have friends from out of town or friends who want suggestions for great restaurants I always recommend Limo Peruvian! Pros: Great food, friendly service, cozy atmosphere more

Fabulous Food and Great Service 7/8/2010

I’ve had the opportunity to visit Limo 3 times now and enjoyed the experience every single time. The service and food has consistently exceeded my expectations. I’ve found the staff to be friendly and more than willing to prepare dishes according to the individual palate. I recommend Limo every chance I get and I plan to visit myself again soon! Pros: Attmosphere, Authenticity of Food Offered Cons: Parking anywhere in NW is frustrating more

I love Limo!! 7/7/2010

I have been going to Limo since they opened last August. I got to know the owner / chef who has gone out of his way for me everytime I have visited. I recently had a birthday dinner there on thier outside deck. It was so COOL! I had about 20 people with me and we had the deck to ourselfs! =) Everyone loved the food and service! They even made me a special birthday desert! \r \r One of the things I love about this place is that they help out many of the small buisinesses around NW. The building is shared... but It's shared with a beautifull store called Paseo and relaxing spa called Absolutely Flawless! \r \r I would highly recommend this restaraunt to anyone wanting to feel the vibe of NW Portland!\r \r Also, in response to ""Perlita's"" review.... I have been going to this restaraunt for almost a year and I have NEVER waited for 30 min for food... If you are starving maybe you should order a tapa! If the price is too high then maybe you should come for happy hour =). Pros: Great location, nice outside deck and very friendly staff! Cons: Nothing that has ever come to my mind =) more

Not worth the price 7/1/2010

It suppose to be a nice and fine restaurant, is not at all for the prices. Prices are too high for what you get. We waited for over 30 m to get our food, and the place wasnt even packed. The waiter never came to offer even bread and we were starving. After all this wait, portions were ridicolous small, I just thought "" really , am I paying that much for this""? and the food, seriously? i can cook that myself!!! \r I have the habit to always check the bathrooms, if you charge such high prices, everything has to be according or matching to those prices, and this bathroom obviously wasnt the exeption. Mops, buckets and brooms are inside there, no even cover seats. It seems to me that they share bathrooms with the other businesses next door.... ??? Anyway , anothere not worth it price added to me cons list.\r I dont recommend this restaurant, I wont go back. Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more
