The March 16, 2013 post is a complete diatribe. We have contacted CitySearch and it's removal is pending. It's one thing to post a bad review, but when it's a straight up lie, that's another. We could talk about how these people acted towards us while they were here for two hours, yes two hours, but we aren't going to stoop down to their level. We just want the post removed. Thank you. Four of us went there for appetizers and drinks and the service was absolutely horrible. As one of the reviewers mentioned this place is grimy and the new owners made no effort to make up for it. One of the owners serves drinks at the bar with a total attitude and when we told her that she repeatedly got our drink order wrong she yelled at us accusing us of lying. When the bill showed up all the drinks that we never ordered were on the tab! I asked her to remove them and she told us to leave and never f--------g come back. I paid the whole bill with the intention of disputing the bill with my credit card. Oh yeah they charged my friends CC as well since he opened the tab with it.\r \r We still had a great time at 7 Monks bar. I think the new owners have no business running this bar. They have no concept of what 'customer service' means. more

One can be overly to dressed in this bar, new owners have made nice changes, but you will be out of place if your guy wheres slacks and if you have a dress. Its a little grimy. Perhaps trying to be to much more than what it is, example no smoking in the building. News flash its a little old corner, bar not a bistro, as owner makes it to be.
