Lighthouse Moving

Lighthouse Moving come to our aid last November. My husband and I had lost our house due to a foreclosure and had a hard time finding a new place to live, having a big dog, you know. So at the last minute we found a place, thankfully only a mile away, but we needed to move immediately. We had to move a three story house in two days. We thought we could do it, but after the first day using four friends, we discovered that it was more than we could handle. My husband had a piano, an organ, and other band equipment to move as well. Everyone was exhausted and sore and we were running out of time, and had barely stretched the surface. Next day, Sunday morning, we called around at the last minute and the companies near by needed two days notice. Thankfully, LIGHTHOUSE MOVING came to our ad. They are located in St Paul, but came to Brooklyn Center to finish moving us. I miscalculated and had more stuff than I thought, but they stayed and finished the job that night. This company is professional, and flexible, and goes out of the way for the customer. I highly recommend them. more

Starting with the first phone call, the owner John took his time with both of us. We both had questions about his company and about the move. We didn't make a decision right away, but called back in a few days deciding to go with the smaller more personal moving company. The move itself went almost perfectly. One dresser did get scratched, but they came and picked it up, and had it fixed and brought back to us within one week. We had three workers and two full truck loads. We also had a lot of very heavy furniture. Two of John's workers we're quite large and were able to almost easily handle the heavy furniture! I've had a couple of really negative experiences with some of the larger moving companies in Minnesota.\r This is a small company that actually delivered what they promised. They we're a unique bunch of guys, but were polite and they worked hard. One thing I was impressed with was how organized the truck looked after it was packed. Things we're not a jumbled mess when I checked out the truck after it was loaded up.\r The owner answered all of my questions initially and took some time with me to go over our move. He was very thorough and obviously new his stuff when it came to moving! more
