Light Salon & Spa

I met Ciarra through a Groupon promotion. I saw on the website that she is a newer stylist, and that is who the Groupon promo was for, the newer stylist. I went in pretty blond and i wanted some red and dark brown mixed in with my blond. She showed my the swatches she was going to use & then checked with a master stylist. The master stylist agreed with her choice. My hair turned out great! I loved it. It was the first time i had red put in my hair that didn't wash out within the next couple days. I've been back to see Ciera two more times since, and i will continue to see her. I feel very lucky to have found my new stylist! more

I went in today to redeem my Groupon for a full highlight and cut. The complimentary hand/arm massage and mini facial were a pleasant surprise. I was a bit shocked that I was there for nearly 4 hours for a highlight/cut. I hadn't expected that, I'm not sure if that is typical or not. I personally have never had it take that long anywhere else. I wasn't crazy about the time aspect but I love my new cut and color. more

Love this Aveda Concept Salon. Friendly staff, comfortable surrounding and always spotless. Leanne does a wonderful job with my cut and color, always asking if anything needs changing before she begins. I also enjoy the offer of coffee/tea when I arrive along with the mini facial, hand and arm massage after shampooing...such a treat. more

Responded to Light Salon's offer of a 50% service discount for returning. Was pleased to see the salon had been been remodeled and the unsettling green was banished. Nesreen was my stylist and I had forgotten how lovely and gracious she is. She has excellent customer service skills in addition to great talent as both colorist and stylist. I appreciate her high energy. So far so good. The down side: music too loud and too relentlessly "hard rock" for a relaxing salon experience. Surprised at the premium cost of services. Even with the discount, I was only $15 shy of the high-priced salon I want to leave. Sadly, while I like the premise of Aveda products, I do not like the lank, oily feel they leave on my hair. Some of the scents are appealing, others akin to camel dung. All things considered, I'd recommend Light Salon because of the top level stylists. more

I Loveee Light Salon & Spa! Everytime I go there the girls are very friendly and welcoming! I get my hair done by Adrianne who is Awesomee!! My mom goes there and recommeneded me to go and It was great! I even recommened my friend to go there and she loved it too! :) Great service!! Rachel is amazing with color! I trust her completely and her color (and cuts) have been a delight for several years. I also absolutely love how Light Salon gives a mini facial and hand massage while you're in the shampoo bowl! What a nice touch! more

The girl that colored my hair was very nice....went out of her way to be helpful and informative. However, all I wanted was a simple lightening of my roots and allover blonde highlights. I even pointed out the Managers color and a clients. Just simple 'blonde' hair. 3.5 hrs. later I left with what seemed to look ok in Light Salon's mirrors....until I got home and realized I now had orangy/ashblonde hair. I don't know if there was miscomunication between the stylist and the manager of what 'colors' to use or what. Not only was the color not right....I now was left with over dried over processed hair. I really wanted to like this Salon but in all honesty I'm surprised that they an 'Aveda' approved Salon. I also purchased $75. worth of products that they suggested and I sold everything on Ebay except the shampoo. None of it helped the dry condition my hair was now in. I opted to try Garnier Conditioning 3 minute Treatment and with countless shampooings ...my hair is finally at a lighter blonde stage and the Garnier has worked wonders on the dryness. Sorry folks....I wasn't impressed with this Salon. I would not recommend it for anyone that has blonde hair. I had to give this Salon 2 stars but the Stylist on her own gets a 4 because she was just too nice to give any less. more

Light is a wonderful place to go. I'm so glad I decided to take the risk last year and give it a try! Trish does a great job cutting my hair. I just had my root touch up/highlighting with Maria recently and she did a great job as well! Everyone is very patient and understanding. The salon has an upscale feel to it, but it is not intimidating. more

this was a great experience. I was a bit apprehensive when I went in for my appointment because Maria was going to be new to me as a stylist. However, that apprehension quickly disapated. She was great. I really like the wasy she did the color and highligts and especially the way she styled my hair. Thank you, Maria. My only complaint about the salon would be the music. It is not relaxing. I'd prefer to listen to a bit more relaxing music while I'm enjoying a relaxing experience in your beautiful salon. Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback. more

This salon is fabulous. It is very clean, you are always greeted and offered tea/coffee when you come in, and the owner, Tony, goes out of his way to make clients feel welcome and to offer exceptional customer service. Kylie is absolutely the best mani/pedicurist I have ever been to. While I used to shop for the best 'deals' and hop from nail salon to nail salon, I will stay with her, because her attention to detail, friendliness and the cleanliness of the salon are important to me, and I haven't found that anywhere else. more
