In response to Fred Valens; Freddy, you need to take a class in spelling. You lack control of the English language and it reduces your credibility. Now, I was the plant chemist for Light Metal Platers in the mid 90's and I know that the company was there before the houses were. True, Waltham has some strange zoning laws, but LMP is not ""slipping through the cracks"" because they're a small business. The opposite is true. Large companies, which pay enormous taxes and regulatory fees, get a ""pass"" more readily than does a small plant, such as LMP. When I was there, we were being monitored constantly by all Massachusetts regulatory agencies and passed with flying colors. You mentioned that you drive a car. Without metal finishing companies, there would be no such thing as automobiles. Typical ignorance and hypocracy from the general public, I see.\r
I don't know how LMP is doing now, but I know they are being monitored on a regular basis. They're in The People's Republic of Boston, remember? The way Massachusetts is going, all manufacturers will soon be regulated out of business and the state will lose any and all taxation funding. Then you can complain about that. Oh, Freddy, it's legal to park on Clematis Avenue.
