I've been a member at LFF for years now and their facilities are great and their employees are amazing. It sounds like Lgable had a little bit of a misunderstanding. When I enrolled, I was given an ""agreement,"" with the terms, policies, and procedures on it AS WELL AS a checklist that I HAD TO INITIAL- to my understanding the checklist is mandatory and a new member must initial it for the corporate office to ""approve"" the agreement. The checklist covered everything from their 30 day comfort guarantee, which gives you a chance to try out their beautiful gym for 30 days, yes you have to use it once a week during those first 4 weeks, what do you expect, you're suppose to TRY IT!!!, to their 60 day cancellation policy. Most people know if they will be moving sometime in the near future! The cancellation procedure is very easy though, if you do need to cancel- you see the front desk attendant(a manager may be asked to assist, to make sure you had a great experience and to see if there is anything else they could do for you- ex. you weren't getting the results you wanted so they could gladly offer a meeting w/ a personal trainer to reevaluate your routine), sign on the electric pad for cancellation and they will kindly hand you a printout that shows that you will be billed one more time and that you will have 60 days to use the facility- any company that uses EFT, every major fitness club in the world now, ex. LA Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, Golds Gym just to name a few has a grace period to stop EFT. And I'm taking that you must have totally shut out everything this Blair Teeter was telling you including what you handed your credit card to her for. When anyone gets started, there is a one time enrollment fee( which can vary depending on time of year), a one time processing fee(just like everyone else), and your PRORATED first and complete last month. So when you cancel your membership and are billed one more time, thats 30 of the 60 days, and the last 30 you paid when you get started. And as I mentioned you pay a PRORATED 1st month so your billing typically starts in 12-16 days, you're just paying for what you're using. Lifestyles shows their new members the agreement on the computer screen, when the member agrees, the employee prints out the agreement for the member and hands it to them! And as far as you being charged for your friend's membership, the only way that could happen is if you AGREED and came to an understanding that you would cosign for your friend- if your friend failed to bring his own credit card in or failed to make a payment, of course it defaults to your accoun- you probably(you did) gave them your credit card for that account too bro! Lifestyle Family Fitness is awesome, I utilize the Premier membership so I can use the 55 clubs available to me as well as their spinning classes and unlimited tanning. If you don't understand something when getting started, just ask, I'm sure their friendly staff would be more than willing to explain in detail so there are no misunderstandings. ""Stay Far Away"" seemed to forget his brain at home this day, exercise strengthens the body AND MIND bro, keep liftin', you'll get there.
