I went to the Lifespa Wellness Center, LLC @ 721 Cardinal Ln, Howard, WI 54313, 920-434-2204, yesterday (2-9-2012) for a one hour full body massage. I decided to treat myself to a full body massage yesterday for my 48th birthday. This was my first time @ this Spa. When I first entered the room where the massage was to take place I noticed that it had a very relaxing theme to it...via the colors, the way the table was set up, soft music playing, a miniture waterfall & the scents within the room. Very nice touch. Then Deb Gudowicz, Licensed Massage Therapist, came in the room to further discuss what my expectations were prior to the massage & to further discuss what my specific needs were @ the moment. That being said, we both agreed that it would be best for me to have the One Hour Sweedish Massage (which included hot oil & hot rocks) as I was having a lot of tension due to stress throughout my head, neck, shoulders & back. I was originally set up for a completely different one hour massage. I was happy that Deb took the time to discuss what would work best for me & what would help soothe my immediate needs best...prior to the massage to make sure that we were focusing on the things that matter most in regards to the massage I was about to get. It was nice that she took the time to do that & was focused on what would work best for me as the client!! I walked out of there an hour later feeling completely rejuvenated!! It was the best $70 (cost of the One Hour Massage) + 20% tip (that I opted to leave for Deb). It was a fantastic way to spend an hour on my Birthday & the greatest gift I could have ever given to myself!! I will definately go back again & book my massage with Deb Gudowicz. I actually booked my appointment online 2 days beforehand, the Spa was very easy to find (convenient, safe location) with ample parking as well. The only remote disadvantage to this place as compared to another Spa that I've gone to is that Lifespa Wellness Center, LLC does NOT have showers/locker rooms, therefore, you would want to plan on going home after your Spa Treatment to shower & freshen up prior to going anywhere afterwards. I just wore an old sweatshirt/sweatpants to my appt & went home to shower afterwards. The lack of a shower is a bit of a disadvantage only because sometimes people like to get their massage, then shower, put on fresh clothes/makeup & maybe meet up with family/friends for a bite to eat or whatever else afterwards. Again, you can't really do this when getting a Hot Oil massage as I did, because you're pretty greased up when you're done so it's not really comfortable until after you've showered to do anything else. Aside from this....it is definately a wonderful place to book your massage & I would recommend it to anyone!! Well worth the money (please remember to tip your Massage Therapist too)...it's the best gift you can give yourself or better yet, get a Gift Card & give it to one of your family members &/or friends for their next birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc...etc...
