I've never had any experience with any rehab centers before but LJC was recommended by a reliable source. As a parent not knowing what to expect and only hoping for the very best, my 25 year old son said it best, its saved him 10 years of therapy as a mature adult. I wake up every morning with nothing but gratitude and love for Life's Journey Center, Dr. Rose, and all of the employees. LJC honestly saved my life. Dr. Rose helped open (or pry) my eyes to the life i was living. When I came to LJC i was a hopeless adddict. I was lost, confused, sad, and desperate. Emotionally, financially, and spiritually bankrupt. All hope i had was gone. One day at a time, i started to clear up and realized my life was more valuable than i ever could of imagined. Through intense group therapy, one on one sessions, and an EXTREME awakening i started to want sobriety. My foundation for living started at LJC. Today, i am sober, i have a job, i am reconnected with my family and loved ones, and most importantly i live with integrity and enjoy every single day of my life to the fullest. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Rose and Life's Journey Center (my family is grateful as well). Without the treatment I received at LJC, i would not be the person that i am today. Can I seriously put into words how LJC saved my life? For the sake of others who may need a place to get clean and sober I will try. LJC which I so fondly call ""The Home"" gave me what I needed to not only begin my road to recovery, but the tools to stay clean and sober One Day at a Time. I opened my heart , my soul and my warped brain to listen, follow the structured daily schedule of meetings, groups and meals. You see, I needed that because I was a 47 year old adolesant who was emotionally, financial and spiritually bankrupt . I did what I was told, participated in group and meetings and followed a plan, did I always like it......ah...no. LJC has top notch people and I knew in my heart (thank you God) that they knew better than me.......hello... I was a broken down drunk, but I knew everything right? My husband's substance abuse was tearing our family apart. After contacting Life's Journey Center, their intake coordinator provided resources for a successful intervention. It worked and the following day my husband checked into LJC. We were welcomed by the doctor, who is very friendly and it was very obvious from the start she was passionate about the care of her patients. My daughter recovered at Life's Journey Center after many years of substance abuse. She received one-on-one care 24/7. The environment there was absolutely beautiful, peaceful and a role model. If there was anybody who seemed too hopeless for recovery, it was my daughter. She is done with treatment now and I cannot find the words to describe the EXCELLENT care given her. When I came to Life's Journey Center, the owner of the facility welcomed me and I imediately felt I was in the best of care. The center gave me many life tools and I know how to live and love life without chemical substances, alcohol and other compulive behaviors. Thanks to my experience at Life's Journey Center I am employeed, and a full time college student. My treatment included powerful group therapy and one on one special attention, delicious and healthy food and a professional, friendly staff. No proper food services. Owner to cheap to properly provide proper food services. Good luck ever seeing the Doctor, and when you do you will wish you hadn't. Incompetent employees and volunteers who have access to your records. All in all, for the money you will spend there it is not worth it. You will not receive good treatment. As a patient you will be ignored, bored and hungry all the time. Facility ran by Doctors children and relative. A really cheap operation and it shows. Pros: There are no pros. Cons: A total joke.
