Life Way Christian Store

The several times i walked in the door no one ever acknowledged me, nor did they ask if i need help with anything. They are way to southern baptist for me. I asked the person at the counter if they carried Joyce Meyer and he looked at me like i was crazy. He said NO and i asked why and he said it was because she is a female preacher. I couldnt believe it! So i went down to the Family Christian down the street and they helped me find exactly what i needed. I obviously will NOT be going back to Lifeway. Pros: There was a Family Christian close by! Cons: EVERYTHING more

I brought two combination prayerbooks/Bibles to this store to have them imprinted (total value $160). The store did a horrible job- my name was visibly slanted upward and way too high up on the Bible and the ""o"" in my husband's name was noticeably higher than the other letters. The store manager refused to even acknowledge that there was a problem with the quality of the work. Not only would she not compensate me for the damage to the Bibles, she would not even refund my money for the bad imprinting or even apologize because that would mean acknowledging that the work was substandard- even as I was fighting back tears over the books in my hands. I will never go back to this store.\r \r \r -------------------------\r \r My initial review was written in Feb. 2009. Since then, I complained to the corporate office and my prayer books were replaced at no charge. While this does not negate the original treatment I received, I do want to acknowledge the store's attempt to correct the problem. more
