Bland Italian Anyone? 9/9/2002

What a disappointment! This was very bland Italian food and a very limited menu! NO RISOTTO! Apparently the restaurant atmosphere, which is great, has made people think that the food is much better than it actually is! My recommendation is to go elsewhere! more

Perfection 8/28/2002

If you want spaghetti red and garlic toast, then go to one of the other Italian restaurants. If you want food that is simply perfect, then Lidia's will become your favorite place to eat in Kansas City, regardless of the ethnic type. It is obvious that Lidia loves and knows food, demonstrated in everything from crusty breads with Italian spreads, to the devastating lightness of her potato gnocchi in gorgonzola and cream sauce. Pros: Divine Food, Excellent Value, Unpretentious Cons: Hard to Find, Too few good tables more

Fancy Northern Italian Cuisine 5/23/2002

My sister and I love Italian food. We ate here and found that it the food is top notch. It's very expensive. For example, $14 for a plate of pasta is a lot of money no matter how good it is. But we couldn't complain about the taste. The lemon chicken, the friccos, the canneloni and the pasta appetizer were excellent. Great for special occasions.
