Library Gardens

The place looks cute I'll give them that, but everything else is HORRIBLE. There have been so many problems in the apartment (broken microwave, leaking shower, coffee stains on the carpet when we moved in) and we have had to call multiple times to get management to do anything about it.. still waiting on them to come fix the shower. Management is the WORST. It was my mistake to ignore the bad reviews and move in anyways. They are unorganized, incompetent, and rude. Every time they say they will get something done, you can guarantee that it WON'T happen. In order to laundry you have to pay for a special card (there is no other option) and the machine is completely out of cards. I told management about it and they said they would have it restocked within 24 hours. It has been a WEEK and still no cards. I'm not paying an overpriced rent to not be able to do laundry at my apartment. DON'T LIVE HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT GUARANTEED. And final note, all the good reviews are posted by people wh more

The simple fact is that there are so many, many things wrong with Library Gardens that they astronomically outweigh the good, and when you are paying $2200 for a 2-bedroom apartment, that just isn't good enough.Biggest problem? NOISE! The windows in your apartment are made from something close to ceran wrap. To make matters worse because of the courtyard layout everything echoes and is therefore magnified in volume. If your neighbor has a window open across the yard you will be able to hear everything... I mean, literally everything, even if YOUR windows are closed. It's unbelievable. I have lost count of the amount of sleepless nights I have had because of someones TV or stereo or students partying. It's the same in the corridors and halls. Someone chatting on a cell-phone? You'll hear it! Someone having an argument? You'll hear it! And I don't mean just in a distant, background din kind of a way. The management is awful. The walls are thin. To get any kind of maintenance you have to bother them repeatedly. The dryers don't dry. Oh and they treat their tenants as if they're doing us a huge favor by allowing us to pay 2500 a month to live here. Dealing with the management here is like dealing with disrespectful incompetent fools who are on a power trip, but ultimately know nothing about customer service or running a business. more

The property management has been the most dishonest people I've ever dealt with; it takes forever for them to fix things (we've made requests at least 3 times before the maintenance even responded). At the end of the lease, they hiked the monthly rent by 10% on an already ridiculously expensive rent ($2500 for 2 bedrooms with no utilities included). The on-site facilities aren't that great either. The dryer won't dry the clothes even when you only put in half the laundry load; the public recycle bins aren't emptied regularly, so there's always a mess in the hallway. Even when we decided to move, they only returned 1/20 of our original deposit (which was one month's rent). This is a brand new apartment, and was kept in good condition, yet they only returned about $150 of our rent. On top of all of this, they never honored the referral fees (we still didn't get a check when we moved out) Absolutely avoid this place if you can, especially if you're a student!
