Stores are ok. A few unique items. All stores have quality and pricy goods. Biggest problem is with Gateway managers or whoever makes decisions about the public areas. They build a great fountain that attracts kids and families. One of the best public spaces in the city. Then management gets confused. The road near the fountain is closed to traffic, then after kids get used to running across the street, they open it to traffic again. After letting kids play in the fountain all summer, now they say no dancing in the fountain. SLC is not Provo. It's clear from the kinds of stores and their policies toward families that they don't want kids there. So much for families heading downtown on the weekend. I think the owners forgot they built the place in Utah. Wonder what they'll do with the space when it closes down.
Pros: Open air, well maintained, some unique stores
Cons: unfocused management, insensitive to kids, bizarre parking flow
