My oldest dog, Cienna, was suffering from terminal bladder cancer. I had discussed having to make the decision as to when to put her to sleep, with my vet in Annville. He would be able to administer the sedative, but I would need to take her elsewhere to have her cremated. One of my friends suggested Companion Animal Hospital as a place that would take care of everything. On the morning of August 2nd, I knew the time had come. I called Companion and immediately felt the caring and sympathy for Cienna and myself, despite never having met us before. I was quickly given a 11:45 appointment. I was a emotional wreck bringing Cienna in. I was escorted into a private room that was waiting for us. The office staff was so compassionate and caring, explaining what would happen and giving us as much time together as needed, as well as petting and talking to Cienna. Dr. Anita Genova came in and was so comforting. I could tell she loved animals and would take care of Cienna as if she knew her from when she was a pup. In what was one of my most difficult times, she put me at ease, and help me understand this was the right decision at the right time. Two days later I received a sympathy card signed by the entire staff of Companion. Two days ago I received a clay stone with the imprint of Cienna's paw, and another sympathy card. I would highly recommend Companion Animal Hospital to everyone in the area, who wants superior care for their beloved pets... Thank you for the opportunity to share this experience.... Bill Sawdey
