Extraordinary care and sympathy! 8/9/2011

My oldest dog, Cienna, was suffering from terminal bladder cancer. I had discussed having to make the decision as to when to put her to sleep, with my vet in Annville. He would be able to administer the sedative, but I would need to take her elsewhere to have her cremated. One of my friends suggested Companion Animal Hospital as a place that would take care of everything. On the morning of August 2nd, I knew the time had come. I called Companion and immediately felt the caring and sympathy for Cienna and myself, despite never having met us before. I was quickly given a 11:45 appointment. I was a emotional wreck bringing Cienna in. I was escorted into a private room that was waiting for us. The office staff was so compassionate and caring, explaining what would happen and giving us as much time together as needed, as well as petting and talking to Cienna. Dr. Anita Genova came in and was so comforting. I could tell she loved animals and would take care of Cienna as if she knew her from when she was a pup. In what was one of my most difficult times, she put me at ease, and help me understand this was the right decision at the right time. Two days later I received a sympathy card signed by the entire staff of Companion. Two days ago I received a clay stone with the imprint of Cienna's paw, and another sympathy card. I would highly recommend Companion Animal Hospital to everyone in the area, who wants superior care for their beloved pets... Thank you for the opportunity to share this experience.... We have our Sammie back!!!!! 11/8/2010

My dog, Sammie, recently became very ill! She was vomitting, had bloody stools, lethargic, and wouldn't eat. So I took her to see her vet, Dr. Libby, whom recommended we admit her. Dr. Libby and his team worked very hard to determine what was causing Sammie to be so ill! Everyone in the hospital worked very well with each other and by the end of the week Sammie was seen by each doctor and taken care of by most of the staff. Everyone was very kind and supportive. It is still unknown what caused her hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, but we do know that it was something toxic that she ate! After a week of treatment with IV antibiotics and fluids, along with a lot of care and attention we have our Sammie back. I highly recommend Dr. Libby and his entire team. He is very sincere, caring, and knowledgable, and that means a lot to us! more

Wonderful vet 10/6/2009

We have been taking our cats here for almost 3 years. We thought we had a great vet before but the vets and staff at Companion Animal Hospital are outstanding. The treatment options are all laid out and the staff are very caring. Unfortunately, one of our cats passed away but the level of care and concern during his treatment and euthanasia was amazing and made a difficult time so much easier. I recommend them without hesitation. Pros: Wonderful caring practice more

You're not just a face or a name 8/22/2009

During my cat Ellie's illness, Dr. Libby worked with me and my husband on options (as did Dr. Zimmerman) for her care. Dr. Libby and staff provided the highest in care and concern for Ellie. He always responded to my calls when I had a question or concern and even called just to see how things were. I would not take my animals anywhere else; as long as I live in this area - this is where I'll go. A sincere thanks to Dr. Libby and staff. Pros: Great care for your animals more
