They have no competition 9/28/2008

After moving to Portland in 1999 I bought a fixer home. I needed lots of do it yourself equiptment including floor sanders, wallpaper removers even a trailer to haul debris. I stopped in at Lewis Rents due to the close location. The people were friendly, helpful and knew what I needed even if I didn't. They showed me how to use the equiptment and loaded the heavy items for me. I found the prices reasonable and have since returned many times these last 8 years and 3 more fixer-uppers. As a matter of fact I am going in today to rent a trailer to haul a mower since the ""Competition"" nearer my house doesn't have one available! more

Had to pay for equipment that did not work 3/15/2005

I picked this place because they were close to my house. I rented a carpet cleaner and a power washer. The power washer stoped working after 5 minutes, and the carpet cleaner kept shocking me. So, I took the power washer and carpet cleaner back. When I told them about what happened they replaced the equipment, but did not bother apologizing for the inconvience. The second power washer stopped working too. So, by the end of the day I had used the 2 power washers for a total of about 15 minutes. I told them that the second power washer had broken, but they made me pay for it anyway since I had it at my house. Cons: Broken equipment more
