This bar is now closed. Too bad; was a really great place to hangout, dance, people watch. Great for bachelorette parties

The Scene Built-to-scale plastic palm trees set the garish mood upon arrival at McMonkeez, a dance club in the traditional mode (think Studio 54 crossed with Cocktail). Once inside, you'll bump and grind with the suburbs' finest toned and tanned bodies. Next door at Zoobar, the louder, more contemporary dance scene begs comparison to some of Manhattan's cavernous club emporiums. Testosterone levels can get high, but who can blame a guy given the pulsing trance music, laser light shows, and scantily clad bartenders? The Booze There are no drink specials at Zoobar. Bottled beer and standard mixed drinks run under $4. At McMonkeez, Friday Happy Hours from 4pm to 8pm break the monotony with 2-for-1 bottled beers, wine, and well drinks. While You're There Grab a slice: Buffalo institution LaNova operates a pizza stand near the front entrance.
