I was recently visiting family in San Luis Obispo when I began experiencing pain in my mouth and was recommended to go and see Dr Leroux. The staff at Palm Dental Care were excellent. They were friendly, professional and very compassionate to my circumstances. Dr Leroux was able to fit me in to his schedule with very short notice, quickly and accurately identify my problem and provide me with the proper treatment. I have a well-developed fear of dentists so my unexpected visit while vacationing away from home created a lot of anxiety. Dr Leroux has a compassionate and respectful approach which quickly put me at ease. I have been going to Doctor Leroux's dentistry since 2004 when he took over Doctor Dan Petterson's office when he retired.\r Coincidently Doctor Leroux and I have the same sur name but we are not related.\r On my first appointment, I was very impressed with his mannerism. I find it hard to believe that he is rated so highly here. First of all I have never had a dentist work on my teeth, where I can feel him drill. I had to be numb three times before Dr, Leroux could actually start. The fact that I left the dentist office in more pain then when I walked in, was a bad sign. I was very unhappy with the fact that the front office had no clue how much I was going to owe them until after the procedure, especially when she promised to let me know how much it would be as soon as she found out. Never again will I go back there or recommend anyone to him. One of my Co workers mentioned another situation he had been through with Palm Dental Care; I only wish he would have posted it here. I found an excellent dentist in SLO that fixed the temporary crown that was half covering my tooth and made me a new permanent one in less than 5 days. To top it all off Dr. Leroux kept part of my money because he worked partially on my tooth, my new dentist said he would never do that to an unsatisfied customer. In my opinion he has put me in more pain and cost me time and extra money for a horrible job that needed to be fixed. Not to mention his front desk lady who lacks professional skills and tried to bully me and say I had to have my tooth completed there since they began the procedure, when truth of it is, as a customer you have every right to not go back to a place you are unsatisfied with. more

I began dental care with Dr. Leroux an emergency treatment need of a total damaged front tooth eight years ago. He is an expert in tooth restoration in texture and color. I think of him more as an artist. I had seen other dentists in SLO ad would never recommend any other office. The staff makes it impossible for me to find things to complain about and I do love to complain. Dr. Leroux is the kind of person you would like to have as a friend. He selects SUPER staff that will make you feel at home ALL of the time! more

I highly recommend Dr. Leroux and Palm Dental Care. The staff was courteous and helpful. I am always nervous when I go to the dentist and Dr. Leroux quickly put me at ease. Not only was I seen on time, I don't think that I have ever encountered a more gentle dentist.! He is a small town dentist with big city technology. I was fascinated by the pictures he took of some of my problem teeth with his intra-oral camera. I felt I could trust Dr Leroux's advice as we reviewed all the options I had for treatment. He was very gentle and throughout my procedure made sure I was comfortable. When I returned to get my teeth cleaned, Chris, the hygienist did a great job. We discussed ways I could whiten my teeth. I was impressed by the selection of whitening products offered. I chose to have whitening trays made and am please with the results! My teeth are white again! I was horrified to find out that I had a cavity on one of my upper front teeth. I take pride in the appearance of my teeth, and I have seen fillings on front teeth before and they've been discolored and stood out like a sore thumb. Dr. Leroux immediately comforted me by informing me it was going to look great because I would never even see it. To my pleasant suprise, my tooth looks better than it did before. Not only did he fill the decay, but he did a little extra filing that made my tooth look more uniform with my other teeth. It is now my favorite tooth.
