Efficient, but totally OVERCHARGED for parts 11/11/2011

I recently called Lerman to repair a broken refrigerator/freezer. I was able to get an appointment the next day. The repairman was courteous and readily diagnosed the problem. However, it was very EXPENSIVE. They charged us $240 for a part ... I later found the same part on Amazon for $109 ... and Sears sells it for $148. Same with another $60 part they charged us. Amazon had it listed for $19. I understand needing to make a little money off parts - but charging double the market rate is ridiculous! Very disappointing. more

Call these guys 3/25/2011

When my fridge broke, I had no idea who I call. So i started thinking and I remembered how my friend mentioned this company. So I called Lerman Appliances described the problem, and they had a tech over here the same day. The tech diagnosed the problem within 20 minutes. A fan broke in the freezer, and they even had the parts in the truck to fix it on the spot. The cost was very reasonable, and did not cost me an arm and a leg. This is the only company that I am gonna call for my appliance repairs. more

OMG - So expensive 3/24/2011

I could not believe I paid $180 for 15 min of repair. OK, so they told me they dont charge by the hour, only by the job. And if it was a small job it would not be much. But since they dont actually quote the price... Well it was either say no and pay $50 for the NOT FREE Estimate, or pay the ransom. Suggestion- Wish I had seen this review before I called this company. more

Excellent company! 3/14/2011

My wife found these guys on City Search and I was doubtful that these guys would be any good (I mean come on.. who's available the next day when its Saturday). But they came out and fast, friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable! If that isn't enough, they are also very reasonably priced! I can't give these guys enough praise, and would recommend them to ANYBODY looking for an ""appliance guy"" that they can count on. Thanks Lerman more
