Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

When did plumbers become scam artists? If you are looking to get scammed, this is definitely the company for you!\r \r I had a slow drip coming from my shower head and because I'm in the middle of planning my wedding I didn't have a whole lot of time to deal with it, so I decided to call Roto-Rooter Plumbing. They were able to send someone out that day, which was great. But when the plumber got to the house, he told us that because my house is ""so old"" (built in the 70s) I needed a whole new faucet system at the cost of $875. \r \r It seemed a bit nuts to me that the answer to a drip is to replace the whole system, so I sent the plumber away and didn't pay him a dime. \r \r I started searching YouTube and found that the problem was most likely a tiny rubber washer that had eroded and could be easily replaced. Let me be clear...I am a single woman in her 20s! I have NO experience with plumbing or anything of the sort, BUT I also don't have $875 laying around, especially one month before my wedding. So I watched some YouTube videos and took a trip to Ace Hardware. I spent $9 on supplies and within one hour I had replaced the rubber washer. Guess what? The drip is completely gone! PROBLEM SOLVED!\r \r Seriously, if I can fix the problem in under an hour, then anyone can. There was absolutely no need to replace the whole system. This company is a complete and utter scam! Don't call them for ANY reason! more

So thankful they could take care of our sewage problem in Castle Rock the same morning that I called! more

The main office called to let me know the technician would be running a little late due to availability. Once Bill the technician arrived he assessed the problem and let me know the cost. He even let me know how much more it would cost if he had to go a step further. Bill was very professional, knowledgeable, personable and very clean. more

Tech arrived on time was courteous. Our issue was fixed quickly and he was very informative. more

Thanksgiving was upon us and so were clogged pipes. Thank heavens they could come quick and save our holiday. more

Although the technician, Craig, arrived at 6:40 (had scheduled a 4-6 slot), he informed me of everything he was doing, talked me through the process, and cleaned my sink out within 30 minutes. I was struggling by myself, but he was professional and helpful. \r \r I could never find a cost for everything, and after reading the reviews on here, I also feel a little overcharged. I had bought an auger for 25 bucks last night, and I was about 15 feet short of the blockage, he said. So if I had just upgraded the auger, I'd be fine. Sure, a little pricey, but hopefully this will NEVER happen again.\r Thanks, Craig! more

We had backed up sinks, clogged drains and roots in our main. We called Roto-Rooter and had a serviceman named Zach S. come to our house and he was very freindly, Extremly efficient, and knew what he was doing. On top of that, Zach was tidy. He brought mats to save our floor, and was careful not to get pipe-stuff all over the place. \r I'd highly reccomend this service as it was a very plesent experiance. more

Nutshell-\r Tech guy was super nice\r \r WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. $225 was our price for him to walk up outside, plop his rooter in and work for 20 minutes and walk away.\r \r We asked for estimate over phone, a low end and high end, and they didn't give that to us and said they couldn't because they didn't know.\r \r GO elsewhere. They overcharge and we will not use them again. more

Googled Roto-Rooter and came up with an advertisement connected to their location for "Any drain cleaned $88.00" When Roto-Rooter came they said they would not honor the advertisement instead wanted $279.00 to clean one drain. We ultimately settled on a lesser amount. I can't help feel but cheated!! more

After initial call to Roto-Rooter in Colorado Springs, Jason Silverberg was here in about 45 minutes, He was polite, professional an after looking at the problem, knew what to do. He finished in a reasonable time and made sure that line was clean and cleaned around area he snaked out. I have always used Roto-Rooter and the service this time was exceptional. My sink was blocked and I called Roto Rooter at 8 pm. They answered the phone quickly and offered to send someone out that night. I decided to wait until the next morning, and a technician was at my house when they said they would be and cleared the blockage quickly. more

I am so sick of seeing Rooter Rooters Fake Reviews all over the web, I wrote this review a while ago and I find it very interesting that it is now missing! I cannot say for certain if my experience was due to sheer incompetence or pure greed, but neither are favorable. I will never call on Roto-Rooter again in my life, and I will share my experience with anybody who will hear it. We called Roto-Rooter and Technician #1 arrived that afternoon to clear out our sewer lines. He tried for about an hour, explained we had a "serious" blockage and called out Technician #2 to run a camera through the line. While every other plumbing service runs a camera to check their work (in one fee, one service), apparently Roto-Rooter, though working blindly, is confident in their work and demands another $150 for you to have them check their own work... Technician #2 arrived and did not try to clear the lines. He absolutely was the largest waste of $150 I have ever spent. Technician #2 recommended we do a more

Technician #2 arrived and did not try to clear the lines. He only ran the camera (and never provided the DVD) and of course could not see past the blockage that Technician #1 failed to clear. He absolutely was the largest waste of $150 I have ever spent. Technician #2 recommended we do a full sewer line replacement immediately, to be started tonight. To the tune of $6000! It was quite terrifying, but I sent him on his way. I know I would never pay thousands without a second opinion. called a lot cheaper local plumbing service the very next morning they cleared the line that afternoon within an hour. Also, before the plumber started his work, he pointed out a nice crack in our sewer pipe that TWO Roto-Rooter technicians failed to do. The plumbing service company cleared 3 ft of tree roots, and replaced 12 ft of cast iron pipe for $500, Roto-Rooter provided absolutely nothing for $500.00 but lies and a nightmare! I really fear how many people they've convinced to have sewer lines unnecessarily replaced for thousands so one guy can make a commission. Homeowner's insurance does not cover these costs. It just makes me sick to think about!!! more
