New ownership and new menu give Leonardo's my enthusiastic thumbs up! Focusing more on traditional Italian cuisine, from home-baked focaccia bread to appetizers like lobster ravioli, Leonardo?s gives the true essence of dining in an intimate trattoria in Milan, with a taste that rivals a fancy ristorante in Manhattan. Their veal saltambuco was delicious, with the prosciutto easily complimenting the wine sauce and spinach. Although the place is small, with a bring-your-own-bottle policy, the tables are spaced out enough to have an open conversation. The recent addition of traditional thin crust pizza and take-out menu will no doubt enhance Leonardo?s stature as a true Italian occasion. This restaurant is terrible. The servers are rude, and the food is beyond subpar. If you would like to eat a good Italian meal, the restuarant across the street, the Blu-Sea Cafe - that we happened to visit the next night - is ten thousand times better. more
