I am not a person who enjoys shopping in crowds nor do I like to spend a fortune on something I can get somewhere else cheaper(like on the internet).I can go to the mall and come out with nothing to show for my trip but a stress headache.I swear I ALWAYS get behind someone whom is just shuffling around.Yes folks that's right I find it mind numbing to walk around the mall.There are hardly ever any sales to be found and it seems as though %90 of the stores are geared towards teenagers.The only store that really ever brought me to the mall was the Disney Store but that was only until I discovered that there is much more for much less at Disney.com. more

The Maine Mall itself is one story, and it has some multi-level department stores. The layout is interesting; it started off as a smaller mall and then kept expanding, so it has a lot of character. The food court is kept clean and has plenty of selection. There’s plenty of parking, but it’s limited on busy days, especially around the holidays. It has a good location off the turnpike, and it’s surrounded by additional stores and food establishments, so it’s an excellent shopping area in South Portland. more
