Good: Knowing that I do not have to talk to Lem Lynch ever again!. Bad: Lem's lack of professionalism when someone is not satisfied with his work..... he hung up the telephone on me!!!! I was so flabbergasted! I could understand if I had been using abusive language or loud, but I was not. I was attempting to provide constructive critisim regarding quality of service he was providing - and he simply hung up the phone. I received no apoligies - just a charge on my credit card!!!!!. Improvements: Lem needs to provide the customer the opportuity to view a "proof" of any restoration work PRIOR to printing (AND CHARGING) the customer. I was not satisfied with the original copies and asked for additional touch up on the original and another set. He did not apologize for my displeasure and charged me FULL PRICE for the 2nd reprint! WHAT A RIP OFF. The final cost for restoration and 5 (satisfactory) - 5x7s cost me over $300!!! NOT WORTH IT!!. Other: When asked for a date of completion, he is not able to give you a straight answer. A bunch of double talk. Make sure you get any promises he makes in writing!. more

Lem Lynch Photography used to be the only photographer in business in town. It took years and years, but now Lem Lynch Photography has a lot of competition. So is he as good as he was back then? That takes some explanation. While I don't think his skills of a photographer have faded, I worry about his keeping up with advances in photography. Lem Lynch Photography in Shelby is a great photography studio. I am not sure how long this place has been in business, but I remember as a child (well, umm, let's just say it was a LONG time ago! LOL), hearing his name and being photographed by him. So he has been in business for an extremely long time. This gives me the confidence I need in using him. You can compare each photographer, and they all have strengths and weaknesses. However, I don't know of any weaknessed for this studio. Well, they could have more backgrounds to choose from .I guess. But I have always found what I wanted so I guess they are adequate. I actually enjoy being photographed by the photographer because he puts me right to ease and brings out the real me in the pictures. more
