cozy neighborhood wine bar 1/25/2009

Lelabar has such a great variety of wines (red and white) from all over the world that you need many many visits to try them all. All I tried so far are just really good wines. With my husband we always stop by for a glass of wine. At Lelabar almost all of the bottles can be purchased by the glass which is very convenient for us who drink one glass at a time. great party place 1/15/2009

This is a great place to do a birthday party or any kind of a party. I went to my friend's birthday party and it was so much fun! The bartenders made it so easy and pleasant for the whole crew. I am thinking to do my birthday here, as well.... See you soon! more

Absolutely one of my favorite places in the west village. When I feel I need a place to cheer me up I just pop in to Lelabar and here the mood is always right. Try the tastiest pates and salamis with some (always fresh!) baguette. Amazing wine selection! You can't go wrong here... Pros: tasty and decorative small plates more

a feel what i've been looking for. lelabar is welcoming, comfortable from the moment you step in and looks great and decorative. All the small bites from the menu i tried was delicious and the wines are just excellent, red and white alike. just perfect for a wine bar. and be careful the place addictive :) Pros: everything about the bar is just great. you want to go back again and again and again... more

My date took me to this wine bar and what an excellent choice he made. I really enjoyed the time we had together next to a glass of wine and really good cheeses. Cozy place, nicely decorated, romantic, where you really can connect with the other and have a nice time together. Pros: wonderful date place Cons: i didn't see any more

I am a wine lover and my fiancee knows that. This is why she introduced me to Lelabar, and what a great place for great, no even excellent wine, cheese, and cold cuts. I tried and became my favorite a cheese called pecorino tartuffo with a few different glasses of rich and complex red wine. It was amazing. We'll go back because I would like to try even more of their red wines. Pros: wine and cheese more

Wow, I was amazaed on the cold cuts selection they offer. Hungarian, croatian and other salamis, dried beef and so forth...Delicious with some full bodied red wine and fresh bread. Will be back tomorrow too. Pros: cold cuts more

I always have happy hours at Lelabar, and it's not only when I go at happy hours :) By the way great deals on the happy hour menu! Not too crouded at the early afternoon hours. You can sit around by a glass of chardonnay and reflect your thoughts. Later the place gets more crowded and brings a different atmosphere, which I also love. Nice people, awsome place! more

  • The Scene:
    Lelabar is an elegant but casual wine room located on Hudson Street in the vibrant West Village neighborhood in Manhattan. Our bar is simply and tastefully designed with warm tones, tin ceilings and custom iron work. The space is anchored by the large oval bar where patrons gather to enjoy fine wines, delicious fare, and intimate atmosphere. A central chalkboard informs our guests of daily wine and food specials, upcoming events and wine flights. Behind our bar you will find one or more of our team of passionate sommeliers who are all well experienced in matching wine and people. The entire wine list is available by the glass with a purchase of two glasses from that bottle. Wine tastings are every Sunday at 4PM RSVP ionly as we set places in advance. 6 wines, 6 pairings and good canversation. 60$ per seat. RSVP to: andrew@lelabar.com
