Once he entered the room i knew he was in a bad mood. He sat down and everything he touched on the tray he would throw i.e. took the cap off of syringe and threw it on the tray, took viles of and tossed on the tray. Well once the IV was in my arm he took the Benadryl syringe to inject it into my IV. He injected it at such a fast force I felt the ""gasses"" going through my chest, up through my throat, my nose with burning sensations and i knew if I didn't cough I would of not kept the heart beating. My eyes rolled in my head and I almost fainted when i thought that was over the fiery sensation came from down below and burned so bad i started to cry! The note taker in the room left abruptly and the repertory nurse looked a bit nervous but swept the whole thing aside as to not create conflict. I know the IV person did this on purpose. The other two injections into my IV after that i could taste and smell the fumes but nothing like the Benadryl injection. Could this have injured me or was i at anytime in danger or am I just overreacting and that's what is supposed to happen? Please help so I can possibly stop this from happening to others from this guy if need be. Thanks! Cons: mad man iv administrator more

I got MRSA during surgery at Mt Hood Medical Center 2/4/2009

I had surgery at Mt. Hood Hospital and a simple procedure with low risk became my worst nightmare.\r Not only was the inital surgery unsucessful but due to the unsanitary actions of the physican and cleanliness of the facility I am infected with hospital acquired MRSA which I will have for the rest of my life. \r They have neglected to give me proper meds and deny any responsibility and I feel an obligation to inform/warn others that may need medical assistance to go elsewhere for their safety. My ER visit has left me unable to work, finacially and mentally drained, and infected with a lifelong antibiotic resistant infectious disease, not to mention the physical scaring and damage from the 30+ incisions all over my body from the chronic/re-occuring abcesses. Before my visit at their hospital I had a promising future, a good job and a term away from a college degree, basically a great little family with my 2 young children that I raise alone as a single mother. But due to laziness and lack of proper hygene and improper techniques, I lost alot of the things I struggled and worked hard to achieve and I am forced to be on financial assistance and unable sometimes to even touch or hug my kids for fear I'd infect them too. When Im sick I'm HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS. I'm appalled at the things they continue to say & do that put others seen after me at risk & in danger. Starting w/the Triage nurse, I inform upfront I'm contagious & have MRSA, ask them to put gloves on before they do anything, they proceed to start my vitals & I tell them again I have mrsa abcess & want them to use sterilized B Pressure Cuff & Thermometer etc they say it is. I worry for both myself & others safety. I fear I may contract another illness from their neglegence. Also, I don't want my germs to be passed to next patient. I've observed in disbelief their routine negledgence. How many other victims from M.H. now have MRSA as a result of it. I would like to hear from you e31bty@hotmail dot com Pros: I can't think of any Pros after this. Cons: POOR medical care, don't do labwork & underdiagnose. unsafe unsanitary procedures filthy facility/substandard at best more

Haunted by the anesthesiologist! 10/21/2008

I had my baby at Mt. Hood Medical Center back in June & I have had a hard time getting over my experience with a man named Donald Flynn who is an ""anesthesiologist."" He was so terribly rude to me when I was in labor. He snapped at me & made me feel terribly uncomfortable. When I finally did recieve my rude & uncordial epidural it did not work at all, the pain was just as intense. I asked for him to please come back in to try again & he came slamming in to the room saying quote, ""You being overweight makes this epidural close to impossible & if I try again it will give you headaches for 6 months, so...deal, because childbirth is supposed to be uncomfortable."" By then tears were streaming down my face. Yes, I understand I am overweight and epidurals can therefore be challenging...but certainly not impossible. Although should definitly still be cordial & professional. And of course when I received my Explanation of Benefits from my Insurance, he had charged $1,200.00 for a service that offered me no relief and was done incorrectly. So if you are having a baby there & see a grumpy old man named Donald coming towards you with a 8 inch needle, demand someone else. \r In response to the other review written before me, yeah I noticed the floors were dirty too. There is a hardwood type flooring in the maternity section & after walking around in my hospital room, the bottom of my feet were filthy! And that was shortly after I had been admitted so I would think that they should have mopped between patients. Pros: The nurses were wonderful & caring! Cons: Donald Flynn & things looked a little dirty more

hell in gresham 6/29/2008

i wouldn't go to that place if i was on my death bed! the rudest triage nurses and staff i have ever encountered. they were unprofessional and completely rude. their security guard is a power hungry, little worm who repeatedly came in to our room to put in his two sense while my aunt received stitches. they should give him a real job and hand him a mop because the floors were disgusting and there is aunts in the emergency room. those ""ladies"" at the front desk are ugly nasty old bitches and i would love to throw hot coffee in their faces. if you want to be looked down on and laughed at while you're in pain then go ahead and go there, but i will be driving 20 miles out of my way to avoid those wanna be doctors. medical staff there think they are high and mighty, maybe someday they'll be put in a compromising situation and i'll be the one laughing at their vulnerable white trash asses! Pros: nothing was good about it Cons: long wait, rude staff, dirty facility more
