Legacy At Pleasant Grove

I don't personally live at the apt. complex, but my mother does. She moved here from out of town in December, after my father passed away. My husband and I found her an apt. here, and she is very happy with it. My father was in the military for 20 yrs. so we moved quite a bit, and my mother and I are very concerned with safety and cleanliness. My mother said many times she has never moved into a place that was so clean! My husband and I helped her wipe things down and it probably wasn't necessary, because it was clean to begin with. However, my mother and I always wipe a new place down with bleach, but usually we have to do much more! My mother is almost 80 yrs old and Justin ( the property manager) has been happy to to accommodate her with things, like a safety bar in her tub/shower, and he hasn't charged her anything for doing these things. My mother and I were just talking today about how safe she feels here. In fact, my youngest daughter and her husband just put a deposit down here today and will be moving in soon. We are very happy about this move, because we know she'll be in a well maintained and safe environment. I believe this is the best apt complex in Texarkana, and I looked at many, many apt complexes before we moved my mother here! Also, from what I saw: the prices are the most reasonable for the accommodations provided! I think anyone looking for an apt in Texarkana should go by and check these apts out. more

I would just like to address a few parts of the previous review. Salina is no longer the manager at the Legacy at Pleasant Grove, but aside from that I do happen to know for a fact that the person who left the previous review has not ever lived at the Legacy at Pleasant Grove. Another misleading part of the review, was the comment about the paint being yellow instead of white. The walls and ceilings of the apartments are purposely a pastel yellow. The Sherwin Williams color is actually called Napery Yellow. The last thing I would like to comment on, is that all of the apartments here are cleaned by a professional cleaning contractor prior to anyone moving in. If you have any doubts of questions about the quality of this Apartment Community I would like to encourage you to come check us out for yourself! more

I would not recommend this place to anyone due to there management staff! SALINA the office manager is gonna run this place in the ground. She tries everything to suck you in including flirting with you while her husband is at work. Very cheaply made and horrible cleaning crew when getting the place ready for you to move in. My apartment smelled like a cigarette and was smoked in so much all the white in the apartment had done turned yellow! Look other places before you decide to check these out. SERIOUSLY!!!! more
