Wonderful Vet!! Cares about Pets and Owners! 2/22/2012

I've been taking my dog and cats to Dr. Kay Baker for 6 years. I have never met a more kind, caring veteranarian who truly takes the time to get to know you and your pet the way she and her staff does. This past year when my 6 yr old dog started acting not herself, Dr. Kay did everything she could to find out what was going on with her, by running test after test until we found out she had a rare heart condition that required meds. She is now back to her frisky, happy self, and I am forever grateful. I recommended her to a good friend who has a very skittish, rescued dog who is wary of strangers. Dr. Kay and her staff actually sat down on the floor with her dog for 30 min. just so she would feel comfortable with her to relieve her fear of being there! My friend then told me how Dr. Kay spend another 20 extra min. just talking with her and spending time answering her questions. She is now a client for life too, and also said her prices were less than the vet down the street she had been going to as well! My friend also went to the ""budget vet"" across the street from Dr. Kay who may be cheaper, but you never see the same person, and it's like a ""drive-thru pet vet"" -so that is never good if you don't have the same person who gets to know you & your pet! Dr. Kay will always will take time with you answering your questions, never rushing, and will help give you the best treatment for your pet. They always follow-up with a phone call a day or two after to check and see how your pet is doing after they have had a procedure or been sick. This is what makes them stand out by taking the time to make their customers feel special. I highly recommend Lebanon Road Animal Hospital and Dr. Kay Baker - they are wonderful! more

Best Vets in Town 2/21/2012

My partner & I have been going to the Bakers for over 20 years. Every visit is like a visit with the old family doctor. They have taken the best care of our children. more

great vet 1/26/2012

I had just moved here from Colorado in 2008 and had to find a vet for my German shepherd. When I was looking in the yellow pages I found a lot of vets. There were many that had multiple DR.'s in them and I felt they would lack the personal touch. I wanted to go some where that when I walked in the door they would know who I was and my dogs name. Lebanon Road Animal Hospital was able to get me in quick and helped me deal with the fact that my dog has severe hip dysplasia. Since that day and up till right now they have gone out of their way to help my dog and myself live the best possible quality of life that we have left together. I will never need to look for another vet again. more

great 1/27/2008

I have been taking my pets here for about 10 years. The staff here is very kind and loving towards my animals and knows them by name. This is a great place to bring your pets. They will be well cared for. more

Great Vet! 10/2/2007

I have been going to Lebanon Road Animal Hospital for several years now. Dr. Kay and the staff are wonderful!! They are always so helpful and they treat me and my dogs great! Whenever one of my dogs is sick, they will squeeze him in ASAP. They will help with anything they can. I love this vet! Pros: Great staff, friendly, and helpful Cons: Not open on Saturdays more

Best Vet in town! 6/2/2007

Dr. Kay is the best. Her staff is also excellent. They have always treated me and my dog wonderfully. Have always explained what they were going to do and made it understandable. I was referred to her by a friend of mine who takes his dog to her. I have been very satisfied and I also tell people to take their animals there. If anybody has anything bad to say about the Lebanon Road Animal Hospital, they need to talk with me. Pros: Easy to find. Clean atmosphere Cons: May be expensive, but my dog is worth it. more

Great Customer Service 4/20/2007

Dr. Kay has always been very friendly and remembers our dogs names when ever we take them in there. I think they are great! The staff there has change but I think the Dr's are still the same. Pros: Good Dr's Cons: Expensive more

User review by janettmc 4/25/2006

We went to Dr. Kay for years, but began to notice staff changes and a general irritability among staffers. After Dr. Kay spoke to me in a rude and condescending manner and hatefully referred to my puppygirl as a ""Mama's girl"" (because my puppy wanted me to hold her!), we decided to change vets. Cons: rude vet, dark office more

Drs. Kay & Ben have always steered me right. 11/9/2005

I have, in the past, done Chihuahua rescue, and have had literally dozens of Chihuahuas come through my home in the last 8 years. 7 of those years Kay & Ben Baker have been my vets. Dr. Kay almost always can identify the problem immediately and make a recommendation. Dr. Ben has performed numerous surgeries on my babies, some delicate, with perfection every time. When one of my older babies passed away, they were very compassionate and referred me to a pet crematorium that I was very satisfied with. Pros: Know their stuff, Have their own pets, Take time to explain Cons: inflexible on payment more

Not there for me when I need them. 7/21/2005

My dog was very sick so I took him to our veterniarian. We found out that he had a very slim chance to live. This was on a Friday. We could leave him over the weekend to get antibiotics or we could take him home with us and give him antibiotics at home. We decided to take him home with us so we could spend his final moments by with him. He was extremely sick. In the early morning hours he began screaming in pain. It was horrible. I called the vet's office, which was closed. They had an emergency number that you could call. The emergency number didn't open until noon. This was 7 am when I called. I couldn't let my dog scream in pain that long. I called another vet and begged them to see us. They were cram packed, but the vet heard Smokey screaming. She fit him into the schedule. Turns out he had cancer and a tumor in his stomach had ruptured. The staff at Lebanon Road Animal Hospital was nice and friendly, but they weren't there for us when we needed them most. They s more
