Highly Recommend Learning Ascent 3/23/2015

Thanks to Learning Ascent I was able to raise my ACT score 2 points. I was very pleased with my experience here. I had taken ACT prep classes and tutoring at other places, but did not see the same results I did after coming here. The tutors are very nice and willing to do everything they can to help. Success in Physics! 11/14/2014

Before my daughter met with her Learning Ascent tutor, her last physics test grade was a lousy 53%. After tutoring, she got an 86% on her most recent test! Woot Woot! Well above the class average for the test. Gabriella loves working with the tutor and it is obviously helping! more

Learning Ascent ACT prep totally worth it!!! 6/12/2014

My daughter started off ACT tutoring with Kaplan but was extremely disappointed with how it was going...her score ended up going down! I was then introduced to Learning Ascent by a friend and had my daughter work with the tutors for a few weeks before the test. Her score went up 4 points, and much higher than we both had hoped for!!! I wish I had found Learning Ascent earlier; I wouldn't have wasted all that money and time. I couldn't be happier with our experience here!! more

from low-esteem to thrilled 5/3/2012

My daughter did not want to go to to tutoring, but she was embarrased and felt stupid because she was failing a class. I made her go to tutoring, but now she asks me to make tutoring appointments for her. After 10 hours of tutoring she has earned a second 100% test grade. She is so excited that she texted me from class to share the good news. more

Learning Ascent Tutoring Experience 2/10/2012

Once my daughter Karly started tutoring sessions at Learning Ascent, she went from doing just "ok" in Geometry to doing very well on her final. And on her most recent quiz she earned an 18 out of 18. We are very pleased with this progress. more

All I can say is WOW! 8/18/2011

Alexian Brothers Neurosciences Institute recommended Learning Ascent for reading tutoring. I was feeling overwhelmed and concerned about test results especially ADHD and Dyslexia After one month of reading tutoring, my daughter's progress is so profound, I am floored. I highly recommend LA for your child! more

ACT Review Class 6/25/2011

My daughter, Julia, improved her score by 6 points after taking the ACT Class offered by Learning Ascent. The teachers taught all the necessary tools in Math, Science, English, Reading and Writing that are required for the ACT Test. Greatly encourage others to give it a try. more

Chemistry Help 6/22/2011

Our daughter was in Honors Chemistry in her sophomore year. During the first two semesters she was surviving with B's and C's with some after school help with the teacher. The third semester material got the best of her and she ended the semester with an F. As parents we were unable to help her with the material and so we turned to Learning Ascent Tutoring. The facility was highly recommended by a neighbor. After our daughter's first session prior to a quiz, she scored an 82% on the quiz. Having the material explained to her in a different manner, seemed to build her understanding and confidence. She ended the year with a "C". Our only regret is that we didn't brihg her sooner. We highly recommend Learning Ascent and have already enrolled our daughter in their ACT prep course. We definitely won't wait to seek out their assistance in the future. more

Grades improved to A/Bs 6/12/2011

My daughter was struggling to get C/Ds. she found school very challenging. she just finished her first quarter and received A/Bs. I was given study strategies to support my daughter. They worked with me to find the best fit for her. We matched teachers with their specialties. She went from frustrated to excited about learning. what more could i ask?? more

Algebra Can Be Easy 6/6/2011

My son is a freshman in high school and was struggling with algebra. Although he was attending the peer tutoring sessions outside of the regular classtime, it wasn't enough. The tutor at Learning Ascent made all the difference! My son's grade went from a borderline B/C to A/B in one quarter because of weekly tutoring. His teacher at school noticed the difference and asked him what he was doing outside of school because of the dramatic improvement in my son's performance on assignments, quizzes, and tests. In fact, my son was able to help out several other students from his class in math lab to improve their understanding! My son now knows that algebra isn't hard, in fact it can be easy...thanks to the great tutor at Learning Ascent!! more

Excellent ACT Results! 11/12/2010

Michelle did not think that she could really improve her score because it was already so high, but I encouraged her to try Learning Ascent ACT classes because I heard so many good things about them. When we saw Michelle's official test results we were so thrilled by the improvement. Michelle's new scores are giving her better school opportunities in terms of choice and scholarships. more

Improved ACT score 11/10/2010

My son's ACT score improved 7 points. He got scholarship offers from 11 colleges. So we sent our other son. His score improved 5 points. He wanted to beat his brother's ACT score, so he took the class over for free. He also had some private tutoring with Learning Ascent tutors. We just got the results. His score went up 3 more points! more

I do not recommend it! 9/3/2010

My daughter took the ACT class and we were very displeased with the service. Before the class started, they were very nice to us but after it did and they got our money, they were very rude to us. There were some scheduling conflicts, not only for my daughter but also the person she took the class with, however, they refused to change the class. Also, even after she took the ACT test, they never once asked what she got and how she felt about it. Obviously, they are very money minded people. We were very upset that our $700 went to a waste. more

What a Great place! 3/4/2010

My son Jason’s ACT results came yesterday. Back in the fall when the juniors took their pre-ACT test, Jason’s score for reading was a 24 – which is why we then contacted Learning Ascent for his 10 sessions of reading and writing strategies. We were so pleased to just find out his reading score on the ACT test he took on February 6th is a 30!!! His overall composite score is a 29!! I can’t say enough about the instruction he received through Learning Ascent. He was confident and prepared for the reading and writing portions, he completed the reading portion, and his scores in both of those areas are a testament to the time he spent at Learning Ascent. I have spoken with many other moms about the services Learning Ascent offers and the strategy Jason used for his first time taking the official test. That $500 definitely paid off!! more
