Leaps N Bounce

My daughter turned 18 months today so I decided to take her out for a day of fun. I hopped on Yahoo, typed in toddler play, and this place came up.\r \r We had SO much fun! Even her father and I enjoyed ourselves bouncing around in the bounce houses! She is too little to let her jump alone, especially with other bigger kids jumping around, so either her father or me or both of us would go in it with her. \r \r There is one bounce house that is for "little ones" only... sometimes...? There is a line for maximum height drawn on it, but that's only in effect when there is a young child in there. Then one of the employees stands guard at the entrance while you bounce around together and doesn't let any big kids in. Then when there are no little toddlers inside the kids can play in it again. Well, that sounds great, but the employees disappear after a minute or two and the kids are flying back inside. \r \r And who can blame them anyway?!? Our 3 and 4 year old frequently beg to go here--they love it! It's clean and bright and there is a large area in the middle of the bounce houses where the children can just run around. It's on the smaller side, so you don't need to worry about "losing" the kids. My husband will even take them here and that's a big compliment on the price and atmosphere! more

Kid friendly, adult friendly!. An indoor play/inflatable center that has open play and private parties. They have 4 huge inflatables plus a few video games and a build your own stuffed animal area. The owner is very accommodating and prices are very reasonable. Kids parties start at $150 for 10 kids and includes pizza/soda or juice boxes and 2 hours in their private party room along with open play for that entire day! The center is clean and the owner seems very conscientious of safety. As they do not have a kitchen/snack bar there you can bring in your own food for parties or just on a regular visit.they do however, have vending machines for snacks if you wish! more

I took my 3 and 8 year old for their first visit this week. I found the bounce houses poorly supervised with just one teenager on the whole floor looking off into space while children were indiscriminantly sliding into the children at the bottom of each setup. The house that was setup to be the "toddler" house was basically hijacked by older boys who were playing much too rough and were never asked to leave the house. Our visit ended after 20 minutes of anxiety inducing visions of my 3 year old being trampled! The visit wound up costing about 80c per minute and perhaps some therapy! It was absolutely the kind of place that parents dump their kids to burn off some energy while they camp themselves at a table and check-out for an hour. No quality inteaction going on here.
