I had visited the CitySearch website before going to Le Tub, reading all the negative items since Oprah and GC sang their praises so was not going to stop by... but we were driving down the coast, so I said what the heck. Was a Wed or Thurs evening in October so probably not the busy season. I can see how people got angry over the parking, there is very lil, and I am sure the neighboring businesses don't like Le Tub patrons taking up their spots. Being a midweek day, we got a table immediately. Great view of the water (was low tide so the smell came with it *grins*). My girl and I order cheeseburgers, I had the chili, and we got a basket of fries between us. Burgers were ok, more novelty than anything being able to tell everyone you went to one of the places you must have a burger before you die. Personally, they are just huge burgers. *shrugs*. Chili was meh at best and not ""the best"" or ""world famous"" like was mentioned. Fries were the best part of the meal. I would definitely not go back again, but it was an experience so I took it as that. The decor and tables were Beach Bum meets Biker Bar. I am a very easy-going guy, so I was able to take in the experience and enjoy it, but if you like a wider selection of food, a clean dining environment, and overall a comfortable place to eat, this is not the place for you. Like a previous poster said.. It's a bar that serves food. Gotta take it for what it is.
Pros: Great view at sunset, decent food to go with a few beers
Cons: Not for the finicky eater or finicky diner.
