Awsome place to stay 7/29/2011

his was the most relaxing place we have ever been. The view from are camper over the lake with the full moon shining was awesome.Everybody is so friendly by saying hello as they walk by our camper. The owners even come buy and see how we are doing. You do not find that at other campgrounds. This is a awesome place to stay and we have fell in love with this place. You must find the time to stay here. You will love it too more

The atmosphere and the service are great 7/26/2011

The staff is very good and friendly. The owners Alan and Bev make sure everthing is good to go and if not they will do whatever they can to fix it. I go there to fish at least 2 times a week. They stocked the pond with more fish this year. The atmosphere and the service are great more

Cheaper with more to offer 7/25/2011

We took our pop-up camper there a couple of years ago. They have a nice pool, although it closes at dark. They have horseshoes, a nice laundry room, showers, and a small store as well. The owner came by twice on his golf cart, stopping at each site to see if everything was ok. They have inexpensive cabins as well. It is much cheaper than staying across the street at the water park, the owners are friendly, so stay at Lazy Dog, then go to the water park the next day. more

Will Return amazing place 7/22/2011

I camped at Lazy Dog Camp Resort this past weekend and loved it. We fished, enjoyed conversation with the other campers and had a great great time. You may not catch a fish every cast, if you did it would be called catching not fishing. But it was great to sit next to the water and just relax. The people who run the camp are also the owners and they talk to all the campers and make you feel welcomed. The store has great food and the clerks are friendly and courteous. The Bathrooms are clean and the grounds around the camp sites are also clean. I have already set up a date in September to return. No one bothers anything if you leave it out side over night it will be there the next mornin Thanks for a great time more

Clean and Fabulous 7/21/2011

My family went back to the Lazy Dog for the fourth year. When I say 'family', I mean our ENTIRE family-100+, for our family reunion. In the past we had been disappointed, so we weren't sure what lay ahead. I knew the minute I crossed that gate that something was different. The owner had passed away, and the son was running it now. Here's what changed. The bathrooms are cleaner, I was told they were CLEANED twice a day, and I personally witnessed the employees checking them throughout the day. All the buildings were given a fresh coat of paint, some cabins were repainted on the inside as well. The entire park was clean. There is a TON of stuff for the kids to do. There is a volleyball net, 'corn hole', basketball, wooden cars for smaller children, a swimming pool, an area that is literally WIDE OPEN, for the kids to do whatever they want! Our family has a 'rash' of boys, of all ages, they choose to use that field for football. They play football 24/7, and we have to make them stop to eat. There is fishing, and the camp store now has more things in it, including food and ice cream. The camp now has a PERMANENT overseer that LIVES on site. When there is a problem, she calls the owner right on the spot, if he's not there, and the situation is resolved. They DID have a problem with someone in the office, we had that same problem. That PROBLEM has been 'resolved' as well. 'Dottie' is the overseer, and she is FANTASIC!!!! Finally, someone who has the same sarcastic sense of humor that I do! How refreshing! So in closing, a 'family' that was shopping elsewhere, is staying right where they are!!!!! more

free pass 7/20/2011

My 12year old son and I have been going to Lazy Dog for a few years now. We have always caught fish. On every trip. The most we've c aught in a trip was six and one of those were well over ten pounds so we got the free pass to come back. Just recently we were there fishing my son caught a 36 pound blue cat. that in its self was worth the trip but the fish had a tag on it. The tag payed $ 250.00. Not just because of that night but I would recomend Lazy Dog to everyone. more

We went in May 2006. We found them to be very family friendly. Nice clean campgrounds/restrooms /showers. The paylake I thought was priced nice, didn't catch a fish though had bites. more

Family getaway 9/16/2005

This is an ok place to take your family. They have a small play area and pool. They have a pay lake for the fishermen, and across the road is an animal farm with miniature golf. They have a fun train ride at the park. Its not a big fancy place but its a cute little place if you in need of a camping area. more
